Protests

It seems like as much as I am sick to death of all this crap about Iraq and people who think that their opinions on the whole thing matter, that I can’t get away from it.

So today college and high school students decided to walk out of classes and march around and wave signs and hope that people saw them. This, they say, it their way to “get their point across and be heard.”

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about all of this is something I’ve stated before. It seems everyone has an opinion, and everyone thinks they know the best way to deal with the situation. Although they aren’t privy to all of the most recent and most classified intelligence information, they think that they are well-enough informed to have a valid opinion.

You know, I think I have a question for all these people who suddenly feel the need to find their ways onto the news, and radio stations, and such in order to voice their opposition to what we are doing. The question is, “If you know so much and think that you can handle the situation better by doing it your way, why the hell didn’t you run for office?!”

Anywhose, these people piss me off like you wouldn’t believe. I drive around and they’re standing on overpasses with their little “Say no to war” signs and they think they’re being patriotic. They think they’re doing something important and think they’re making a difference, and all their doing is making asses out of themselves. No one who has any control over how world events are going to transpire are paying attention to them. Their uninformed cries are falling on deaf ears.

There was an editorial in the Wall Street Journal today that was written by a man in Northern Iraq. He talked about some of the conditions and all the crap that those people have to live under every day because of Saddam and his thugs. He then talked about what the Iraqi people thought of Bush. Do you know what they call him? They call him names like “Savior”, “The Liberator of Iraq” and names like that. These people are ready and waiting get out from under the boot of this dick who has used them and abused them for so long.

I can’t wait to see when we do finally go in. I can’t wait till we cut all this political foreplay and just go at it. I can’t wait until we DO find the weapons that we’ve been saying over and over are really there (and yes, they are probably buried beneath hospitals and mosques, which the “inspectors” haven’t been to). I can’t wait to watch the Iraqi people welcoming liberation like the French (surrender-monkeys though they may be) did when we came marching into Paris in World War II.

I can’t wait until all this stuff comes up and all these idiots get it rubbed in their faces.

Just enough light has shown though

To tell the night from the day

We are incomplete and hollow

For our maker has gone away.”

Hey Hey Hey! I havent read many entries lately. Im dedicating one day each to my favs.. you’re tomorrow.. 🙂 I miss reading your stuff !!! I hope you’re feeling alright and that everything is going well for you.. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for your advice with the whole tooth thingy …. 😉

I agree…if it turns out that death is like eternal torture, that would majorly suck. I only hope my spirit is strong enough to withstand and exscape. I don’t want to go to Heaven…sitting around doing nothing would suck too. Altho screwing an Angel might be cool. Cooking naked…interesting – do you think you might be able to post the article on your OD?? ~ David

Thanks I’ll check it out later. ~ David

Hey I just read that article about the naked chefs, very interesting. It would be cool if Food Network picked it up so we could see it here in the states. I bet if you had a satiliete(sp) you could watch it. I’d love to check out the naked girl in the itsy bitsy apron. 😀 ~ David

People may not be totally informed, I agree. They’re half-assing opinions to be trendy. But I for one would not agree to war, period. No matter what. Call me whatever you will, but I just don’t think two wrongs make a right. It’s like two little boys on the playground, one takes the other’s ball and it escolates into some big THING. I just don’t get it and I will never support war.

But I definitely hear what you are saying and I agree to a certain degree. Voicing our opinions no matter how stupid or uneducated is one of our American constitutional rights, so… why not? I’d rather see people into protesting war and realizing that mass destruction is wrong then having them loot in the streets. Good points, and well said though! 😉

He who would choose to “peace” over justice for the sake of self comfort is a coward.
