Damn You George W.

I heard something on the radio today that totally got me wondering, and also got a chuckle out of me.

Some people have gotten into a habit of regularly trying to blame the President for anything and everything that has happened, or does happen, “on his watch.”

So here’s the headline that we may soon see… “Bush Lets Tornadoes Kill Eight, Tornado Families Outraged.”

Here’s a little of what the story might look like…

“Yesterday on George Bush’s watch, tornadoes killed eight people in Illinois. Bush knew these things were a threat and did nothing about them because he’s so focused on the war on terror and with Iraq. He’s so obsessed and distracted that he let these tornadoes happen without giving any warning to these families.”

We may soon find widows of the dead on TV asking, “Why didn’t we use existing technology to warn of and stop these tornadoes?” We may soon have the ACLU decrying Bush’s alignment with “God,” since he is the one most likely behind this attack on Illinois. We may soon be calling another congressional committee together, this time with the purpose of finding out just how much those in the Bush administration knew, and when. After all, isn’t the entire job of the homeland security people to keep Americans safe in America? Where were they?

Anyways, thanks to Rush for giving me a giggle when I really needed one today. Part of what makes this so amusing to me is the fact that it isn’t really all that much of stretch of the imagination from what liberals and democrats try to daily pass off as logical thinking and questioning.

I dunno, I think Bush looks downright smooth in comparison to that shady looking Kerry guy.

I’m talking to my dad and he says..that everything that happens is not totally all of the President’s fault or his decision. He doesn’t make decisions all by himself. So, we shouldn’t blame everything on him…but he is part of the decision making process. I’m not sure who I want to vote for…maybe I’ll write your name in…heee.

I know what you mean. It’s amusing, but when you think about it, you KNOW it’s going to happen some day. Just a question of time. When I read the news I think we are a nation of idiots, yet when I talk to people I know, they all seem sane. What gives?

That is hilarious. And you’re right. It probably WILL happen.
