A Perfect World

In a perfect world, on a perfect day

All of my cares would just go away

Each of the worries and things on my mind

Would all be so wonderfully hard to find

.

In a perfect world, on a perfect day

I wouldn’t care why things must be this way

I’d have no thoughts of God, no thoughts of life

Or thoughts of eternity or needing a wife

.

In a perfect world, on a perfect day

I wouldn’t care what my brain might say

Give heed to no truth, and heed to no liar

Think of nothing lower and of nothing higher

.

To not be consumed with this need to know

Of what all is real and what all is show

And all of this crap would all go away

In a perfect world, on a perfect day

Ok yeah, I wrote that a month or so ago, but I’m kind of in that sort of mood. I’m still waiting for that day.

sounds really familiar… hmm… either that or i need to stop with smoking crack. very nice piece, btw.

I thought the wife line was interesting since you don’t plan on getting married. Did you write this around the same time you were having that dream about your future?

Very cool Jaimie Joel!! RYN:Christmas shoes is a song, there’s a whole story behind it. The little boy got the idea from a teacher who had given her mother(who was dying of cancer) sparkly shoes on christmas so she’d look beautiful when she met Jesus, so he decided to do the same thing for his mommy! Anyway, I dunno where we’re going when you and nate come..it’ll be a surprise to us all :oD
