Haven’t been on here for a while, mostly because I haven’t had any pressing needs/desires/disasters. Things have kinda been rolling on smoothly. I’ve been smoking a lot recently, that’s always good. Weed, hookah, even spliffs. Fun times. I averted a minor thesis disaster, but am not out of the woods completely. Basically what’s happening right now is my advisor and I are revising our pilot and getting our final version ready to run. That needs to be done by wednesday, but I think we’re on pace. I have a dumb colloquium that I have to present at on May 12th, but i’m exploring my options for getting out of it. Basically we have to make posters and stand by them while people (I have no idea who) wander around and ask questions. That’s for about 2 hours if I remember correctly. Then I can skip out, since there’s some oral presentations and a keynote address by our latest nobel laureate. Then I figure I can wander back in time for the reception and just pretend I was there the whole time. Plan B is to smuggle in a bottle of Jager or go get high beforehand. As you can probably tell, the prospect of 6 hours of listening to people blowing smoke out of their ass about how special they are doesn’t fill me with wonder and excitement. R-M is sending me a relocation packet sometime in the next few days, which will have all the pertinent information I will need regarding moving. So, when I get that, my househunt starts for real. Otherwise, i’m just cruisin towards graduation. It’s about 7 weeks away now. The local college bar has a graduation countdown clock. It’s great to see everyone’s reaction to it. As you can imagine, emotions run the full range. Often makes for a good laugh.
