Silence is your answer
I woke up this morning feeling like death dangling from a doorknob. I’m sure once I get in the shower I’ll feel a little better. I just don’t really feel like moving at all. I’m excited about tonight. I’m participating in an all-night NaNoWriMo event at the West Edmonton Mall. NaNo madness from a 8pm to 8am. *woot* Originally my friend Joe was going to give me a ride, but I just found out that there’s an LDS temple here and I’d kind of like to see it, and maybe get to the mall early to do some exploring since I missed it the first two times I was in town, so I think I shall pass on the carpool.
I couldn’t bring myself to work on my NaNo yesterday. Going through customs gives me panic attacks that linger for hours and I was all bent out of shape trying to figure out whether or not I would get to see Nameless at all. The answer appears to be no. *shrug* I’m going to try not to let it hurt until I get home. No need to ruin my whole damn week because he’s acting like an asshole.
In other news!! I still have no idea what I’m doing with Patti & Gordon, a couple I met on the plane last time I was here. Patti keeps talking about having her daughter take me around to show me things while everyone is at work, but I haven’t met her daughter and would rather not make that commitment. Already she’s like, "You should come back and have a white Christmas!" I’ve already got plans for Christmas, but I appreciate the invitation.
I still have a headache that’s trying to push my eyes out of my head, but I suppose I should get my day started. I have to walk around and see if there are any cheap motels in the area. The hostel’s central reservation system is all jacked up and when I got here they said I didn’t have a reservation. Apparently that’s been happening to a lot of their guests the last few weeks. >_> They were able to give me a bed, but only until Saturday. I know Patti has a guest room, but she’s often got visitors so I didn’t want to bring it up until I get to her place, but hopefully I’ll be able to crash with her. Normally stuff like this doesn’t bother me that much, but it’s cold and I don’t even have my car as a backup! Though I suppose I could rent one. Hmmm. Will keep that in mind.
Okay, off to the showers.
Ugh, I hope you feel better soon. good luck w/the NaNoWriMo event thing tonight — and I love the new pic!

Crazy crazy! You are like a jetsetter now. I hope that the rest of the trip goes smoothly. And that Patti’s daughter is cool and her spare bedroom is available and comfy.
