Randomocity and pics!

• Slow drivers sap the fun out of Topanga Canyon.

• Kate Winslet’s opening monologue in The Holiday is like holding up a mirror to my life.

• My mom may be moving into my already tiny apartment. She’s scared that if she does, I’ll hate her after a few weeks. That never occured to me, but now I’m scared of that, too.

• When I pass level 20 of Boxed In I will be ecstatic. If you have a Touch or an iPhone, go download it. It’s free and is my newest addiction. And then tell me how to beat level 20 because it’s pissing me off.

• *sniff sniff* Eew. Someone is burning popcorn.

• I’ve had such vivid dreams lately. Usually they’re about Nameless, which is particularly shitty because that means just about every morning I wake up with these wonderful memories and every damn day I have to face the disappointment when I realize that no, they’re not memories. Just dreams. Last night’s dream was about my stepfather and it was hella scary. I was convinced he was trying to kill me. It was freaky as hell.

• As it turns out I crack myself up. I found the NaNoWriMo that I wrote in 2006 and dammit it was funny. Why did I quit at 20,000 words??

Okay, picture time…

Taken this past weekend. Neil (the dude on the right whose face is cut off) wanted to see how many people we could squish into a selfshot. The crown I was wearing was made by my friend Valian (who’s not in this photo). He didn’t make it for anyone in particular, but it when he placed it on my head it was an amazingly perfect fit.


Same night as above. Valian threw a party for all the folks that wished they were at Burning Man this year, but couldn’t make it for whatever reason. He had a couple of his friends perform with poi and then at the end of the night had his own tiny burning man.


 

A week or so ago I parked on the street instead of my apartment’s assigned spot and this is what my car looked like in the morning. /o

This one is actually pretty old, but I saw it on MySpace and decided to share it. I was in New Orleans on business and I was hanging out with an OpenDiary friend. I had convinced him to take a haunted tour of the French Quarter. Predictably, it was lame, but I’m glad that he went along with it. The drink in my hand was like a 7-11 Slurpee with mad amounts of alcohol. I think they called it a Voodoo? I’m not totally sure. But by the end of the tour I was buzzin’ but good!! Oh and that’s not my OD friend in the pic. That was the tour guide!
