Yep
Yep I think we’re going to reorganize (more about that in previous entry).
We decided to tile the basement. With the litter boxes down there and the woodburning stove, we feel that the smell gets absorbed into the carpet. With not really any windows, it doesn’t really get aired out. The carpet gets a deep shampoo cleaning every spring. With tile it’ll hopefully keep it smell better, hopefully!
Roger had stated what he thought. I wasn’t totally sold, but figured it was ok. It’s black and white checkered , each color a foot by foot. It would wrap in the black woodburning stove and the black bar/stools. We went to Menards just to look at stuff and prices. Then we both agreed that it might look too much if we did that. The basement is kinda narrow and long. They had a big piece of carpet down in the rug/carpet area that was black and white checkered and it looked a little too much. So I think we’re going to go with wood laminate. The lightest color so it lightens up the basement. I mentioned my worry about the black and white is, in a few years will we think "why did we do this", or just be bored with it. I said with the wood or a more solid color tile, we can find a black and white rug. We probably would need a rug anyways to absorb some of the noise. Then we can change out the look of the rug easier than the floor.
Down by the stove there’s a big section that has tan tiles. We’ll leave that the way it is.
Sounds like we might get this stuff within a month. Hehe, maybe I do need to go back to work!
Yay for renovations! You must have a bi-level, too.
