Work/Stroller/Yard/you name it

My mom had thrown an idea out there about my work schedule. I don’t know if she remembers that I was going back and forth on this a lot at the beginning. Right now I work Wednesdays 6am-noon. Thursdays noon-6pm, every other weekend 6am-noon both days. If Roger is working (he does construction), he brings Bruce to my mom on Wednesday and then I pick him up. Thursdays, she comes here til Roger gets home. She’s 35 minutes from us. Roger is usually working in that direction. For me to pick him up is 45 minutes from work.

She proposed the idea of me working noon-6pm on Wednesdays and she come to our house. I have decided to switch to that (I’ll tell my mgr on Wednesday, I know she’ll have no problem since she’d rather work mornings). Everything is here, his food, his clothes in case he needs to be changed or needs a sweatshirt, his diapers, Then this way there is no getting him up early in the morning and him not napping at all over there.

On a different note I’ve come dumbfounder about our stroller. I KNEW this before but you know you get sucked in. I always knew I wanted a jogging stroller. SIL has a travel system stroller that she said we could have, just need to get a Graco carseat. I figured then I’ll get a nice umbrella jogging stroller or something. When we were looking at carseats, we thought it was pretty much the same price as a travel system, so we registered for one. MIL got us that. I steered away from the jogging since the tires are so big, figured it’d take up my whole truck in my Altima. Well looky me now, wanting a jogging stroller! I feel weird thinking about getting one when our stroller is so nice. I went rollerblading today to give it a try, the wheels go fine and then the shake. There is a thrift store by my mom’s that has a bit of baby stuff. I’m thinking about going there to see if they have a jogger. I really want to be active, I’m not going to want to wait til Roger gets home from work if I don’t have to.

Roger has been clearing out our main garden in the front, re-fabricing it. Turns out only the top bit had fabric. No wonder. He marked where we think all the plants are. Hopefully this’ll create less work and keep the weeds away. He’s laying new mulch (red) and it looks awesome already! I’d help but it’s hard with Bruce. Set him down and he starts eating leaves/sticks.

Tonight is roll-off night for bowling. The team that won the first half and the team that won the second half roll-ff to see who wins. The rest of us (yep we’re not in roll-off) get to play 9-tap. Which means you get 9 down, it’s a strike. My mom is going to come with my dad to babysit. Roger AND I will bowl along with my dad. The other couple aren’t going to be there. The banquet is next week but we’re not going to go, since it’s Russian Easter. Usually bowling doesn’t go this late, but there were a few snow days, and 2 weeks off over Christmas/New Years, no bowling on Super Bowl.
