Wonderful Week

Went to the cabin on Friday the 28th and just came home about an hour ago. Roger went home Sunday and came back Wednesday after work. My parents were there. My brother and nephew were there for the weekend, went home Sunday and came back Tuesday. My brother had to work in Eau Claire Wednesday, went from the cabin and came back.

We swam every day. It was nice on the big Lake, there’s a couple spots where we can pull our pontoon on shore, the dogs can play in the water and Bruce has a shore. He loves the water! He even dips his face. Its good, he loves it, but doesn’t want to let go. He’s ok walking in ankle deep water, wont go deeper (yet). The little lake we’ve been trying to clear out the shore side. He likes to be held in the water and brought down deeper. I was kinda bouncing around. He’s not totally wild about being in a tube.

We went decided to try to go into town for the fireworks on Thursday. We drove just ourselves, in case we needed to leave. 10 is later, didn’t know if he’d be cranky due to past bedtime and/or not liking the noise. Right before the fireworks started he started being fussy, rolling like crazy like he does when he’s tired. Makes it really hard to hold him. Finally he calmed down. The fireworks didn’t seem to bother him. As a matter of fact, he fell asleep and stayed asleep. Even during the wonderful and loud finale. Was able to get back and put him in bed without him waking up. I was amazed!

Saturday we left about 2:30 to the casino for Roger’s dad’s 60th birthday celebration. It was ok. We had a party room. It was SO loud in there. Bruce never really liked being in there. He has never seen most of these people, that makes him uncomfortable too. Plus, he doesn’t know where we are. Today was better, there wasn’t as many people but he was able to be comfortable in the room before the people returned from the fishing launch this morning. We hit the pool yesterday and today too. Loves that too!
