updated misc

Had my 6 week post baby appointment yesterday at 7 weeks 2 days. Everything is going good. I weighed in 1lb less than I did the first time they weighed me when I was 7 or 8 weeks pg. Woot woot. Unfortunately I’m still wearing maternity pants. My dr said he always pictured me having two kids, so he expects to see me again in the future. I am on the mini pill so he hopes not too soon unless I want to, hehe. Before I left I got the flu shot and the whooping cough/tetinus shot. Now today Roger is going in to get the whooping cough shot.

I called work today. My manager sounds like she agreed to my request. Work Wednesdays 6am-2pm. Thursdays Noon-6pm. Every other weekend 6am-2pm. She said I might not get 21 hours, so some of the days I might not be til 2. My first day back will be Wed Oct 17th. I also asked her if she could put down for the next week for me to use 20 hours of vacation.

Wednesdays then, if Roger works, he’ll bring Bruce to my mom and pick him up. Thursdays, she’ll come to our house until Roger is home. Wednesdays just means she has to get up early, really early and will have him for a long day. Where Thursday she’ll be here a couple hours til Roger is home. If he’s not working then we’ll call and she doesn’t have to do anything that day. Weekends, Roger doesn’t work so he’ll have him.

I went for a walk today and I was thinking about awhile ago SIL had offered us her Graco stroller. We were going to take it and just get a Graco carseat that’d fit in it. But it seemed that a seat wasn’t much less than a travel system so we got the system. She didn’t use that stroller much since she had a second kid, got a double stroller then. Well I was thinking, maybe I should see if she still has it and offer her $20 for it. Then that could stay at my mom’s. When she has Bruce on Wednesdays, then she can go for a walk with him. It’d be too hard for Roger to haul ours back and forth. He has all his construction stuff. Then on Thursdays, ours is here so she can go for a walk if she wants. I’ll have to ask her what she thinks about that.

I don’t really want to go back to work but am ok with it. I actually wish it could just be every other weekend. Soon I’m going to have to try to alter his sleep schedule a little. Right now he gets up at 6. If I could get him down a half hour early. I don’t know how to change things though. I’ve kinda tried a little and it doesn’t work. I like how right now, I’m on his schedule, it doesn’t affect me. With working, that affects both of us.
