State Fair

My mom babysits Bruce Thursday until Roger gets home. We had planned on going to the State Fair Friday with some of the other family members. My mom ended up staying until I got home from work. She did have my brother’s 2 girls too. Apparently Bruce had an amazing time entertaining them! After I ate, we put my stuff in her car and Bruce and I went home with her. We dropped the girls off and back to her house. I didn’t even bring anything for him to sleep in. He really doesn’t stay in the pack n play. Since we were going up to the cabin this weekend (we were there last weekend), I left the PnP there. When it was time for bed, I just went to bed too. We slept in bed together.

The Fair, we all used to meet up at my one Aunt’s house at noon and go. The weather has been so hot, mostly so humid. I was a little worried about bringing Bruce. My mom and I had the plan of whenever we have to leave, even if we’ve only been there a half hour, we leave. We had thought that we could go to the fair a little earlier, maybe an hour earlier, check out an area that noone else wants to check out. Then people had agreed to meet at the fair at 10. Sweet! I figured it’s cooler in the am. Then all of a sudden everyone was saying to go later, like 4:00 later. My brother and his family were, because they were going after work. I didn’t want to go that late. Especially since we’re going to the cabin afterwards.

So Friday morning, we woke up and went to the Fair. My one aunt came with us. We got to the Fair at 10. Bruce did really well. There were a few times I took him out of the stroller to work his legs, he didn’t seem like he wanted to move. I don’t think I’m going to have trouble with him running off on me. He did push the stroller a little bit (he likes to push the basket, I steer the stroller). I had given him a bottle of formula earlier and figured he’d eat at the Fair. I got a little worried since he didn’t seem interested in any food. He did eat some french fries. He didn’t even want his own stuff, cheeries/kix. We took him to see the Horses, which he really like right now. He was excited and was yelling "nay nay". We went up by the stall door, when the horse walked up to us, he clung onto my neck and was like trying to run away. So I moved back. Back, he starting yelling "nay" again. Luckily that didn’t scare him. Then later on he took a nice long nap in the stroller. Then at 2, we met up with my cousin’s family, another aunt/boyfriend. We left my aunt that was with us with them, and we went home. We had to get the cooler and the dog. I fed Bruce a meal and he gobbled it up. Then we went to the cabin!
