Sleep over

Both last weekend and this weekend Roger was hunting. I asked for last weekend off cause of it. Fine by me! So both weekends Bruce and I went to my parents’ and spent the night. Last weekend in the evening my brother’s family came over, ordered pizza, played cards. I didn’t know how it’d go since Bruce hasn’t spent the night there yet. Also hasn’t been in his pack n play since Labor Day. All went well. Didn’t have a problem with the time change. I did stay up til 1am. That’s the latest I’ve stayed up since having Bruce. Have not recovered.

Yesterday Bruce all of a sudden just get fussy and stayed that way for most of the day/night. I played it on the fact that he had not pooped. He never pooped yesterday. That hasn’t happened yet. I tried to feed him and he wouldn’t even attempt to try. So I ran to the bathroom to pump a bottle to see if he’d take that. He did. I don’t know if it was coincidence with the timing or what. I’ve NEVER had him not take me. After the bottle I got him to fall asleep in the swing and he slept a good amount. I was hoping that’d help him since his last nap wasn’t very long and with the fussing I knew he was tired. I did help but he was still fussy some, not as bad.

We weren’t planning on doing anything but it was somewhat warm out so we were maybe going to go for a walk, which I’m glad we didn’t. I had mentioned maybe stopping by Gramps for a little bit. Glad we didn’t do anything.

Man I forget how I survived in my bedroom, my brother too. It’s freezing! Our rooms are downstairs (split entry house). Thank goodness we both had waterbeds. Actually though, I sleep fine down there. But for Bruce, I am on the verge of thinking its too cold. I brought the monitor this time and it was 66. That doesn’t seem bad. We do keep his room at home 74 though. This time I brought fleece jammies for him hoping that’d help. Both last weekend and last night, he didn’t really seem like it bothered him. It’s just when I go to change a diaper his feet are really cold.  I moved stuff around this time so I can turn on the electric fireplace in the room (wasn’t in my room growing up! or let alone a heat vent, yes that’s right I didn’t have a heat vent in my room, it got put in after I moved out!).

Finally today Bruce pooped, yay! And then again!

Again today he was fussy (before he pooped) and he was refusing me, finally he took it. That kinda freaks me out. Don’t be refusing me!

As I said I haven’t recovered from lack of sleep last week, I’m so tired now. I wasn’t planning on staying up too late but went to bed at midnight. I put Bruce to bed at 10 instead of 9, hoping that’d help me sleep another hour. Nope he woke up at 5:30. Luckily he went back to sleep after being fed and changed. Woke up at 7:30. I was hoping a little later but oh well.

It’s funny how a poop can totally change our days LOL Sometimes Max refuses me, I always go with the when he wants it I have it mantra. The boobs are always available! 🙂

It’s funny all the things our parents do to improve their home after we’ve moved out! Glad to hear he finally pooped.. I know how miserable that is.. I can’t imagine how it is for a little person! RYN: I am definitely not against Goodwill, etc. I’ve thought about it. Usually when I stop at the maternity store it’s random and my mom or my husband just say buy whatever.. but the clothes are seriously expensive. I bought a shirt I’m hoping I could wear to my husband’s Christmas/holiday party.. $44! sick!
