Jynxed

Yep jynxed myself from writing that entry yesterday. Bruce slept like crap last night. I could get him back to sleep but he’d wake up maybe a half hour later. Mama was very happy today wasn’t a work day. When he took his first nap, so did I.

Then I noticed his gums were VERY red. They kinda go back and forth on being red and normal pink. There’s a noticeable bump on his left side. You can see the bump, not just feel it. Can’t feel anything poking thru just yet. I hope it pops thru soon and he’s comfortable, for a little while at least. Out of genetics, I only know when my brother got his first tooth. He got it at 8.5 months. Of course the day my dad got hit in the head and had to have brain surgery. Yipes on having a teething baby on top of dealing with my dad.

When I work the weekend, I seriously feel I work a full week, no days off. I work Wednesdays, Thursdays, every other weekend. By the time of Thursday of the weekend I have off, I’m pooped. I switched weekends with a lady, she wanted next weekend off. So I’m going to be working the next 2 weekends. This coming week I’m working an hour extra each day, due to it being Easter week. I hope Bru Bru can sleep a little better so I’m not completely exhausted. I was hoping that I’ll be able to switch weekends with her in May, not that I need it but I thought she was going to quit in May (move back to Texas), figured get my payback from her for doing this now, before she leaves. Then I hear she’s already packing and plans on leaving when the snow melts, she’ll put in a two weeks. I’m guessing she won’t  be her in May.

Good thing I had 9 months as my goal for breastfeeding. I cannot keep up with this kid. I think possibly he’s eating more by me giving him bottles. I have a feeling he probably wasn’t getting 5 oz everytime I nursed him. Every bottle I give him, for the most part, are 5-5.5oz. My stash in the freezer is disappearing FAST. I’m thinking within a week it might be gone. I’ll still pump until 9 months. When I run out of freezer, he’ll have to start getting some formula bottles.

My replacement pump has not arrived yet I believe (haven’t checked today’s mail). Thank goodness I had a back up and that Roger actually fixed mine. I don’t know how long I wait before calling to ask about the replacement. I called last Monday and they said it’d be in the next day’s mail.

Bruce iis 8 months and 4 days old
