won so far

i think some of you misunderstood where i was coming from. dennis plays with sawyer, cares for him, wakes up with him on the weekends so i can sleep. he’s only gone when he’s at work, at fight club, and at the occasional outing (like the golf.) i don’t want to come across like he’s an absent dad or like he doesn’t pay attention to his child. he really does. sometimes he’s a slacker and doesn’t do nearly what i do with him but i rarely bathe sawyer, i don’t clip his nails, and i don’t cut his hair. dennis doesn’t see it as "babysitting", as many dads do when left alone with their children. he actually wants to hang out with sawyer. he’s just a bit absent-minded sometimes and forgets to do the things i would do. he doesn’t get as into routines we have set up as we do. i know that sawyer and i have to have routine or it will make things hard for both of us. it just works with his personality.

anyway, i didn’t want any of you to think dennis is an "absent dad", because he does far more than a lot of the IRL dads i know. we made the decision to have sawyer together and we are both invested in his well-being, just as we should be.

*grins*

in other news, i’ve won some stamps!

and i have a few more i’m bidding on. 🙂 i’ll be paying with money from my first pay check (not my first ever, but my first from this writing job.)

has anyone seen blades of glory? i can’t stand will ferrell but i actually found him to be funny for a change! that’s one funny movie.

I like those stamps. I am still trying to figure out how I want to do my post baby pages. I actually had a dream about people were working on my scrapbook for me and they looked so much better. You can tell daddy and sawyer have a good relationship.

I understood what you meant about Dennis 🙂 J is awesome with kids. He doesn’t mind at all if he gets to hang out with Kathryn alone. In fact he is better with her when I’m not around because he gets accustomed to me doing it all. Cute stamps! 🙂 I never really use many stamps.

By all the pictures you’ve posted Dennis looks like an awesome father. I can just tell. But you’re right…men are little off sometimes. Mothers will always be the primary caregivers because well….mothers are mothers. Well…it most cases. Haha…okay hope I didn’t confuse you…bottom line…Dennis seems to be a good daddy! No worries!

I think all husbands/fathers can be like that. They just don’t really understand the importance of routine with little ones. Trev never understands why I won’t let Alyssa eat dinner an hour early like she sometimes wants. Well if she eats an hour early then she has to have a bath an hour early and then she’s asleep an hour early…and wakes up in the middle of the night wanting to play! I watched half of Blades of Glory last night, but I fell asleep. I pretty much always like Will Ferell though 🙂

Oh I wasn’t saying he was an absent father or will be. Thats just what happened to LJ. I know he’s a great father to Sawyer… and thats wonderful. But I just knew what u ment w/ the after work thing b/c Lewis would work all day and come home and not want nething to do w/ him except he usually put him to bed n went to bed himself. I’m sorry if I confused u or if it was someone else.

That is great you won some stamps. Did you win them on Ebay and if so how does one know when they won a bid on Ebay? When will you get the stamps and are they the kind you use an ink pad with? I don’t think my bf and I bought a lot of food. We did spend over $500. I do hope the food we did buy will last use till Christmas 07. My bfs parents bought the guy who takes my bf to work the t-shirt. My bf and I didn’t buy the t-shirt for the guy.

Thanks for telling me the colors of the ceiling fans and table legs. I thought kraziekatt was going to tell me the colors, but she didn’t seem to want to. Did you really know the figure at the Hard Rock Cafe was a sphinx or you only knew it when kraziekatt said what it was? I thought you said you have not been to Hard Rock before. If I got that wrong it’s ok. If I got that right where have youseen Hard Rocks before.

How many stamps did you win? How long does one get to claim something they won on Ebay before someone else can have it if you don’t claim the win. Why do you like buying things from Ebay? That is good you understood my bf’s parents bought the t-shirt. Yes, it was nice of my bf to give it to the guy who takes him to work to show the guy he appreciates the rides to work. The guy wanted to know how much the t-shirt was and my bf said he didn’t owe him anything. I don’t think the guy understood why he got a t-shirt from Hard Rock Cafe. Maybe my bf will explain it to him one day this week.

Do you have to pay a shipping cost to get items you win on Ebay? When you get the email saying you won the bid for an item you bidded on does it come up as an Ebay email address or the email address of the person who is selling the item you won? I did see 4 pics in this entry before I asked you how many stamps you won. What is the image on the 3rd stamp in this entry? Is the last stamp supposed tobe the sun or something else. Do you use colored ink with stamps you use? That is good you have seen Hard Rock Cafes before in person even though you have never been inside one.
