went well :) **table full of flowers

  *my flowers from dennis, his parents, the library (the little red roses in the vase and stand), my angel from mom (she gave me flowers a while back to celebrate my book), and cards from some people like a girl who bought my book, dennis’s grandma and his parents.) i absolutely love having flowers in the house. i want to grow some great perennials like we had at our other house so i can cut them and put them out.

**we’re going for chinese food for supper tonight 🙂

it went well last night. lots of people came. dennis’s mom brought flowers and i was in another paper so  a few people who might not have otherwise known came out. it was very busy; i didn’t have time to talk individually with anyone for very long. my aunt took several pics and promised me she’d put them on a disc for me. she’s a professional photographer (and a teacher too) so they should be really nice. hopefully i don’t look like a dork in any! my babysitter liked my dress so that’s a good sign. if my babysitters like what i’m wearing, i tend to think i’m probably doing pretty well. they’re young, they know what is in and she usually looks really cute so she knows what looks good too.plus it’s nice to be told you look good right before you go somewhere where you’re the center of attention!

a bunch of people bought books so that was great. my hand was getting tired b/c, as some of you know, i write a lot inside the books for each person. i must learn not to do that LOL. i had to think of something to write and with all of those people around me talking and whatnot, it was tough! a couple people still owe me money for them but we’re doing well so far with sales.

it lasted a little longer than expected but i survived and the librarian gave me flowers and a card after. i’ll have to reciprocate with a thank you card when i can get up there to deliver it.

so, it went well, lots of people came, and in all, it was a success i’d say. now to consider doing more in stores; the publishing company will contact stores that are local to me for me to do signings at but i’m afraid no one will show up! that would be embarassing! sitting there like an idiot with no one buying a book. LOL. i would like them to be in the superstore though b/c i like the way they display the books. they’re laid out so that there aren’t too many and so that all of them can be seen. you can’t miss anything. chapters would be nice too b/c it’s in a bigger city but not sure. i guess i can give the guy who contacted me the addresses/numbers and see what happens but i’m unsure.

anyway, not to worry about that for now.
