my sister came over today. we just hung out, talked, that kind of thing. it was cool. now that the kids are back in school and her man is working again, she should be able to do it more often. no one in her way at all. she took us for burgers at lunchtime.
yesterday, the cops were across the street at the neighbour’s house from 11:30 a.m. until we left for yoga at 6:30 p.m. they were gone by the time we got back (around 8:45) but we think they got busted. after dennis got home, there were more than the one cop car that had been there all day (i wasn’t paying attention really but JD barked when they got there and they were still there when sawyer and i went out) and they were searching the house etc. i don’t know why they waited all day to do it. the kid is still there and the mom is too but i haven’t seen the dad for days. i’m thinking he got arrested at some point.
dennis was being nosey and heard a cop tell the mom not to hold anything back from him, to tell her if there was anything more…or something like that. they were looking through the garage at the back and it looks like the door was busted in (when, i don’t know.) i’m surprised the son is still there. when you get busted, shouldn’t they take your kid away? especially if he has problems already, behaviourally (and possibly mentally.) i think the daughter moved out a long time ago b/c i never see her anymore.
sawyer is walking around with his stuffed kitty in a blanket. he put kitty to bed but brought him back out; he must not have been ready for bed. lol.
tomorrow, we have play date. tonight, house premieres. we’re excited about that but i hate feeling chained to the TV. i feel like i have something to watch almost every night and i don’t want to miss anything. but i hate being controlled like that…know what i mean? it’s hard to explain. obviously, the TV has no power over me but i get mad if i miss a show and i don’t like to plan around TV. also, i despise cold weather and hate the impending doom that is winter. lol. this is just the winter depressed me talking.
anyway, not much going on. just wanted to update and stuff.

ETA: got another article published on the MMA website. 
found out what happened with the neighbours. the idiot got chased by the cops b/c he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, led them right to his house where he fled, and they found pot. haha should’ve just worn his seatbelt. seriously, i have never dealt with CAS so i dunno but now i’m really surprised they still have their kid there. yup. he’s still there with them. saw him come home from school. do they just leave kids in houses that are falling apart (literally. there are holes in the outside of the house) and with dads who are growing illegal drugs in the backyard? i don’t actually have a problem with pot but for pete’s sake, don’t get caught with it if it’s illegal. common sense.

I *heart* winter!! RYN: True for most cases I guess but I didn’t actually get anything big at my baby shower–it was mostly clothes and diapers. A few toys and some books, and some baby lotion. The rest of the stuff we bought or was given to us by my parents, not at my baby shower. So my perception of baby showers is skewed I guess? Like I would never expect friends to buy big ticket items, so when I invite them to a shower I assume they’ll be bringing small gifts that they would give anyway but now they just do it at a party instead of coming individually? I dunno. And what if you have a different gender of baby? or a baby born in a different season? The stuff you had before wouldn’t necessarily work for the next one.

Ryn: I have no idea, I was thinking maybe Carters was an American brand? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it anywhere besides the thrift store, unless you can get it at more high end shops? I know that at the thrift store they get it new with the tags on it a lot, it’s soo cute!

I LOVE winter if we get snow if not i’m not happy with it lol When i lived in NC something like that happened. The couple next door was fighting and she left, he went after her. I don’t remember why the cops went after him(maybe speeding?) but instead of stopping he went home and they pulled in after him. Me and my mom were being all nosey looking out the window lol

ryn: he has no problem being home with his son. this particular time though, i was asking him to babysit one of spencer’s playgroup friends that he’s never met. the boy has also never been babysat by anyone outside of his mom, dad and grandma. so, really, we all kind of knew it wouldn’t go over well. if it was just spencer there would’ve been no “asking.”

It’s ok you don’t want to share the sites that you have had articles written by you and put online being shared with anyone. I only said it was nice you let Sawyer play with stuffed animal(s) because some parents don’t like their son(s) to play with something people think is a girl toy. For instance if I had a boy and he wanted to play with barbies and let him and if I had a girl and she wantedto play with cars and trucks I would let her. I have seen things about this on TV where the parents only want their child to play with toys for their gender.

LOL I started watching the premiere of House, then some douche had “foot pain” and met us at the door, then walked to the bedroom to get shoes, etc. Luckily we have DVR and so Bill and I watched it at home the next day. kristen
