my more than significant other

sometimes i’m so glad i have dennis. when i read some of my faves (yes, faves, not friends) and what they say about their hubbies, i realize all he does for me. however,i don’t know if i’d call myself lucky. i do a lot for him too, you know? i don’t know if what i do equals what he does for me but i hope so. he seems to think so anyway. 🙂

sometimes he pisses me off to no end but sometimes i realize how well he treats me too. he drives me around, does the groceries, does most of the cooking, renovates, works full time, loves the boys, still gets turned on by me in seconds flat. etc. etc. and we’re friends. we talk online every day during his lunch hour at work. we work out together. i think that’s the key. friendship. we respect each other. he has done some things in the past little while to try to improve our relationship and i appreciate it.

i was just thinking.

what do you love about your SOs?

I love, and hate in equal measure, how he can turn an argument that’s entirely his fault on it’s head by making me laugh. It’s sooo frustrating 😛

I love everything about Jamie, except his inability to do the dishes more often LOL Everything else is great!

That’s the thing about hubbies, they drive us crazy and yet we’re still crazy in love with them 🙂 I agree, friendship is the key. My fave times with Trev are usually when we’re just talking and joking about random silly things, the kind of conversations you just can’t have with anyone else.

do you have the picture of it? I just bought spencer one today for a special treat an orange soda one. They dont come in no name brands here so im not sure about there 🙂 any way they are pretty tasty and not very fizzy at all

September 12, 2009

Oooh, yeah, I’m sure they’re all just rainbow colored soda. J was a fan of the blue ones like that.

Awww :). well i’m not sure at this point if what i have is my ‘significant other’, but i would love to think he is :P. one of these days i hope to be writing about my hubby and what pisses me off and what makes him so great, lol! you’re very blessed, that’s for sure!

awe 🙂 cuute entry.. yay for nice hubbies 🙂

I know what you mean about “lucky” – after all you deserve a guy who treats you right and you treat him right as well. I love that my husband still calls me by exaggerated terms of endearment rather than my actual name, and that he compliments me and always makes me laugh. I also like that he’s starting to really listen to the things that are important to me and make big changes for both of us. Neat entry idea.

I’m probably one of the faves you were talking about, so I don’t have too much to comment on about my SO here. But this is a happy entry and I’m glad to hear of someone in a happy union 🙂 It sounds like you have the type of marriage that a marriage SHOULD be… support, companionship, friendship, and passion.

It’s good to appreciate your husband! Sometimes we all forget. I agree though. When I hear some of the horror stories my friends tell me about their husbands, I feel very, very lucky.

September 12, 2009

Well said indeed! 🙂 What do I like most about my husband? Even if I’m having a bad day, he knows how to help me relax or think positively. We know each other inside out, and I think that’s part of the reason we gel together so well. Similar values and respect.

Do be thankful… he’s a good man!

September 12, 2009

I love that he is my companion. I love that we are equally competent around the household. I love that he’s intelligent. I love how he looks. I’m glad you hear what a healthy relationship it sounds like you’re in. It’s awesome!

September 13, 2009

i love mine because as much of an a!! as he can be at times, i know if me or damien need anything, he will be there in seconds

September 13, 2009

Wow, this was awesome! My hubby: I love that he respects me 150% and tries his hardest to please ALL of us in the family (tough job, for sure!). I love his sense of humour, his willingness to try new things and support me in whatever I want to do. I also love that he likes to cook 🙂 And clean 🙂

September 14, 2009

It’s awesome that you after all this time realize that. I hope I can be that way!

September 15, 2009

I love this entry. It’s exactly how I feel. Friendship first and then it grows and grows. 🙂
