i’m such a girl

last night, i got 2 new bras (woot!) at pennington’s/addition elle. ohmygoodness it felt good to walk into a store with pretty bras for women who are well endowed. it is SO hard to find pretty bras if you’re bigger. but they had lots!! and a girl (she was extremely tall-holy crap) who knew what she was doing!!!! heavenly. so i bought 2 (buy one get one 40% off and 10% off for signing up for a pennington’s card) like this:

i wanted the butterfly print but they were all out of my size 🙁 other than that, tons of options! she assured me that she hasn’t had any complaints about the underwire coming out, which is what i needed. so i have hope. she came into the room after i had the bra on to check that it fit properly and said it fit exactly as it should (you can’t be shy if you want to be fitted properly, ladies!)

at wal-mart, we found RED!!!! from Cars for our godson. if you’re a mom of a Cars fan, you know it is difficult to find Red (the firetruck) so he will be excited. sawyer says he’s ok with it and he doesn’t want one and he’s not going to be upset. i hope he’s not just saying that b/c i don’t want any misbehaviour. it’s hard to be his age with a younger friend who has the same interests as he does and isn’t the greatest at sharing. anyway, we got him 3 games too and a kite. also, friends of ours from the club gave us a playhouse for him (we already have one) which is AWESOME! they didn’t even want anything for it. they gave sawyer a bunch of xbox games and a picnic table too.

i also got 2 shirts, one purple tank (cute!) and a flowy style shirt to wear with my shorts. they were on sale for $5 each. i grabbed deodorant and razor blades (the soap bar kind-they don’t last as long as i would like but they do work well) too. there were some shorts i wanted and one other shirt but i didn’t want dennis’s head to explode LOL

at the mall, we got the rest of our godson’s present (the games and the kite) and i got a bracelet at the $ store (they seriously have some great wooden jewelry) and a toy story 3 kite for sawyer and a fishing pole (his other one broke-he liked it though so i got him another. might have to invest in a sturdier one but they’re just for playing with around the house, not for fishing for real.)

when we were done with that (i forgot to see if dennis was agreeable to me buying that perfume i liked at la senza, darnit!!!) we did a drive-by of Bayfest, this huge 2 weekend concert they have in the city we were in. it was PACKED. there was an entire street closed off. parking lots ($10 $5) everywhere.) wow. i’ve never been b/c i’m not great with crowds.

we got an ice cream cone at mcd’s and headed er home. put the boys to bed and watched the crazies.

i LOVE my new purple tank. it looks great with my new black yoga capris (got them a few weeks ago)! woot!

I love those bras! Ryn. No company vehicle. It’s been tough on his van. He does get a driving allowance though!

I think ive seen Red around here! I love the bras! I pull out all my underwire. thank god I am only a b cup LOL. I feel bad when larger boobed women cant find bras. Its like there are more big boobs than small ones out there!! ya know? sounds like you got some awesome deals!

BTW, do you have a Lane Bryant? They have super cute bras and lingerie. I shop there for my mom and wish they made stuff in my size!

I lurve my new bras. Its always fun to find pretty ones. When I got mine I didn’t get a single white one. Now I need to go back and get at least one white and one nude.

Ooooh NICE! It really is hard to find pretty bras for bigger chests. I pretty much have beige ones, with one dark brown sexy-ish one that I only wear when I’m dressed up, lol.

Those bras look extremely comfortable! (I have the opposite problem, most bras in my my size are either too big in the cup or are designed to push up the breasts… not always an everyday option, comfort-wise!). Looking forward to eventually (hopefully) gaining a little more tissue in that area. Love your clothing-inspired entry, music to my ears! 😉

Now here I was trying to go this pay period without shopping for new clothes. And here you go making me want to go get some good fitting bras, and some summer clothes. Jeans are just a bit much when it’s 7* off from hell. All of my bras are stretched out and don’t offer much support. I need to find someone who fits correctly. The only place I know of is Victoria’s secret and the last time I was fitted there it wasn’t right.. But it was a different store.

I always have the hardest time EVER finding a bra to fit me comfortably. I have 3 bras and none of them are comfortable and the straps fall off of my shoulders with ALL of them. They are adjustable, yes, but I adjust them as far as they will go and they STILL fall off my shoulders. I think one of my shoulders is lower than the other because one side fits good sometimes and the other side falls off. I must be lop-sided! I hate bras. They are soooo uncomfortable. I’ve been wearing a sportsbra for the last year or so because bras are so uncomfortable. But when its in the wash, I have to struggle with those crazy bras of mine that fit so poorly. I did get a bra at Lane Bryant a few years ago that fits semi-well though. The straps stay put at least most of the time. RE: I love hydrangeas and calla lillies too.
