got my miofresh sample! *cyst

while i was writing an article about cloth diapers, i "met" the best people in the cloth industry (the disposable industry? just information regurgitating robots) and got a sample of miofresh. it’s this:

miofresh
·          Enzyme free, no synthetic perfumes, no chlorine bleach, no optical brighteners, biodegradable, hypoallergenic
·         Its antibacterial germicidal action cleans and deodorizes
·         Makes cold water washing possible, no need for Hot and/or Soaking
·         Add about 0.5 fluid oz of miofresh to the normal washing detergent*, help take out stain and kill bacteria, even on Cold
·         Just FYI very soon Bambino Mio will come out with their own detergent, called miocare, see description below.

very cool. something to wash dipes in cold water with? um, yes!! that just saves more energy, something cloth diapers are attacked for (some say cloth diapers deplete the world’s resource more than cloth b/c of energy use/water use/etc.) so this is pretty big in the diaper world.

so let’s hope this stuff really works b/c that is really neat.

have i mentioned that i liked michael on biggest loser from the start? yay me for picking the winner… and then promptly falling asleep during the finale and missing it 🙁  we work out tuesdays so we can’t watch it at 8. we have to watch at 11 and i ALWAYS fall asleep before the 2nd half. sucks. we don’t have a PVR but i really wish we did. i really want to see the last episode. it’s not online yet and they never work right on the NBC site for me. ugh. so i’m looking at some pictures instead. stupid falling asleep!!

beau is finally starting to say some useful words. so far, it’s been words he sings along with songs and words that don’t help me figure out why he’s hollering/screeching at me. i’ve taught him to say "all done" instead of shrieking from his high chair when he’s done eating. i’d like him to learn "hungry" "milk" and "sleep." that’d be very helpful.

i’m getting over a cold that knocked me (and both boys) out last week. ugh. i was SO tired and poor dennis kept trying to get some and i kept conking out on him. haha he finally got some though. i couldn’t help it!

my visit with my old book club is tomorrow. the librarian wants me to read from my book. *eep* we’ll see how that goes; i’m terrible to listen to when i read from my works. my sister and her kids (she’s letting them out of school) are coming so i have to get their bday/christmas presents ready. isn’t that sad? i haven’t seen them since before nov. b/c that’s the last bday i have presents for.

* i forgot to mention my intrauterine u/s results. there’s a simple cyst on one of my ovaries. my doc says it’s not cancerous. nothing to worry about. so that’s good but still worrisome, given the fact my mom had a hysterectomy and is now deciding whether to do radiation (she had cancer removed from her breast recently.) mom thought it was odd that they aren’t removing it. they recommended that i come back to have it checked out again (he gave me the printout) but my doc didn’t mention making an appt. so i’ll have to contact him about that. he might’ve gotten distracted b/c of the retarded urologist he was trying to set me up with. here’s a rant about that that i wrote to one of my friends:

my doc can’t find me a urologist b/c they only deal in "specialties" these days. he came back in the room and said to me "i couldn’t get you an appointment. they said he doesn’t deal with cases like yours. i don’t know what the hell he does all day!" lol that was funny but the fact that this doctor has an entire practice revolving around MEN’S issues (viagara cases) pisses me off. as if enough of the medical field doesn’t cater to men’s health, there’s another example!!! damnit. my doc says they’ll find me someone. ugh.

Hah! and a sense of humor to boot. Well lady I’m closer to being a fish then I’ll ever be a writer. But thanks, you’re too cute.

Well lady it’s a total pleasure to make your acquaintance. So have a look around and see what you like. All comments are welcome good and bad.

They may just monitor it to see if it gets any bigger or goes away on its own. They wouldn’t neccessarily have to order an ulrasound either. As increased pain can be a sign its getting bigger without an ultrasound. Of course he could be distracted too drs are famous for that.

If that detergent really works, I am soooooo there!

wow awesome news about cloth diapers! I always hated having to use the hot water as I only wash all of mine( unless they are soiled or puked on by spencer) in cold water, thats awesome news though!

RYN: Yes Wayne knows how to change diapers, but he has this total fear of poopy diapers. He has never changed a poppy diap. Probably never will. Thankfully Eric uses the potty most of the time now. Some friends from work were talking about going to Boston the last week of July. Not sure if we are or not. But Wayne was all ready throwing a fit.

Being able to wash nappies (diapers) in cold wash? Loving that idea, and would definitely steer me towards cloth in the future. 🙂 I’ve had a couple of ovarian cysts in the past and they can get quite painful. However, they are filled with fliud which your body will reabsorb if they deflate on their own. Depending on the size of course, the medical world may/may not suggest drainage.

Seriously – being a urologist isn’t enough of a specialty field – someone is ONLY capable of handling viagra cases? That is absurd. Interesting about the diapers. I think sometimes when people are too unwilling to try something (and I’m not pointing fingers – I’m mildly intimidated by the idea of cloth diapers) they come up with reasons that they shouldn’t have to. It’s fine to admit “I’m notready to deal with cloth diapers.” But to say “Actually they are just WORSE for the environment” seems like a huge stretch.

Yay for reading your book aloud! You strut your stuff. 😉 Haha!

sorry to hear about the cyst but great that it’s nothing to worry about! *hugs*

Ryn: tungsten is a silver metal that is a little less pricey than gold, but is a lot more durable. With Jarrod’s job, having Tungsten makes sense because it’s scratch resistance

Stupid docs!
