going?

we’re going to look into buying another house in the city (albeit a small city, still a city.) i’m just so unhappy here in this town that dennis has finally come to see how much it means to me that we not wait. i’ve found a couple houses i like but i don’t think dennis wants to look into anything until he gets back from his trip next week. it won’t be easy finding something of reasonable price in a decent neighbourhood (and location–a lot of them are on busy streets and corner lots, something i don’t want to sawyer) but we’ll do our best! i’m really hoping we find the right thing and get out of here.

other than that, we’re going grocery shopping tonight. i have to think of everything we might need while dennis is gone. i’ve been making a list but it’s hard to know of every little thing. after shopping, we’ll come home, put sawyer to bed, and probably play scrabble and watch ANTM while sawyer sleeps. last night didn’t go well. i was pretty upset that dennis went to class even though he’ll be away for 9 days and we fought a bit. dennis felt pretty bad so it wasn’t really fighting but it ruined our night anyway. it was insensitive of him and i didn’t want to keep quiet about it. i was exhausted though and fell asleep in his arms on the couch. sawyer has been waking up at 6 every morning and not going back to sleep. i am still a tad sick and can’t shake it b/c i am tired. ugh. i got him to lie down in our bed with me until 7 this morning but he didn’t sleep. he was pretty good about staying fairly still so it wasn’t too much of a wrestling match. he will not and never has liked sleeping in our bed.

i’m betting he’ll sleep in the car on the way to get groceries tonight b/c his nap was really short as well. i think he woke up b/c he was hot; he was very sweaty. we took those heavy clothes off! i burned some dora movies for him and he’s watching them right now. usually he sleeps until after 2 so i’m still on "mommy time." too bad for TV naysayers. the kid’s vocabulary is huge; i don’t think he’s suffering.

here’s to hopefully staying awake the rest of the day. ho-hum. haha i’m not a napper so i’m not likely to fall asleep anytime soon.
