busy busy but nothin’

i’ve had a busy week so far.

monday-walk & muay thai (7-8:30)

tuesday – muay thai (and last night, my partners were guys, one of whom was very big and strong)

wednesday – walk x 2 & yoga

articles – 6 with 4 to go

tomorrow, i plan to go to the club and walk on the treadmill. i will have to pick up sawyer from school friday, so that’ll add a walk in that day. saturday, scrapbooking. sunday, i think i’ll be walking to the arena to watch (and take pictures) dennis teach sawyer to skate (i don’t know how.)

pounds lost? 0. i’ve been doing this kind of thing since after christmas, but recently added monday muay thai and wednesday yoga started tonight.

but i am wearing a belt with pants i wasn’t before. i should’ve started with measurements, not weight. i’m feeling pretty disgusted with myself and disappointed in the lack of weight loss but dennis insists i’m toning. i was able to actually do the balancing tonight in yoga, so at least i’m gaining muscle. i can also do hindu squats, which i couldn’t before. push-ups are sooo much better now.

i just really want to see the numbers go down.

some days, i just want to give up and forget it. stop working out. stop eating right. fuck it. it doesn’t make a difference anyway, right? but i can’t give up. it’s got to work eventually. no one can work out that much (and it’s hard, make you sweat and feel sore for days, kind of work out) and not see results. most ppl don’t do half of that in a week. if i have to, i’ll work out every day.

i might be a little obsessed.

if you’re wondering what we do in muay thai, this is the kind of workout we have every time (i copied this from another entry so it’s not exactly what we did last night but you get the idea):

leg kicks (CanCan style-you hold your arm out and kick the bottom of your hand. )

bunny hops/walk
hindu squats
deep lunges

25 wall slides, 50 knees (in the air) followed with a cross and a left hook , probably 50 on both feet and 25 on each individual foot calf lifts

we got into groups of 4, tossed a medicine ball at the person next to us, then did a push-up on the medicine ball, and stood up to pass it on again.

we also did 50s & 5s, which means 50 jumping jacks & 5 push-ups, then 40 jumping jacks & 4 push-ups, then 30, then 20, then 10. but i do crunches instead of jumping jacks b/c of my heel 🙁

after that, class starts. that means, hitting, kneeing, and kicking the pads and holding the pads while someone else does the same.

i worked out in a similar manner twice this week and three times last week.

Goodness it has to work sooner or later! Definitely measure and don’t give up!

Don’t give up! You’re doing great! But don’t get obsessed… so many more important things in life to worry about than obsessing about numbers on a scale! Live your life!

That’s one reason I think weighing oneself is harmful cuz you’re basing your progress just on that. Toning up is A HUGE DEAL. Does the club you go to measure those that work out there? Keep up the good work.

Definitely don’t give up honey! You’re doing awesome :o)

Wow! That’s impressive!

You may not be going down but you’re not going up either and if you weren’t trying you’d probably be going up, right?

Definitely you should see results at some point if you are doing all that. I think I would have a heart attack if I attempted all of that!

You’re working out a lot so very, very soon you’ll be seeing results. It’s always hard in the beginning but you’ll be seeing major results in the next month or two. You’re at least seeing you’re losing inches which is awesome! Keep it up!
