appointment *pic

so my appt yesterday.

the nurse weighed me. yuck. weight up 20 pounds by her records but since she forgot to weigh me the first time or 2, i say up 30.

pee was good.

blood pressure good. i forget what she said the number was. 120/60? does that sound right? she said my hands are prob falling asleep bc baby is on a nerve bc blood pressure was fine. i also end up sleeping on them which doesn’t help.

my gestational diabetes test (1 hour) number was 6.5. almost high but fine.

baby’s heart rate was "off to the races!!" haha she forgot to tell me the number.

measuring 30. not too bad. i’m 29. i can live with that.

doc came in and asked how i was. i said good. tired. he said send me for bloodwork to check hemoglobin so they gave me the req for that. he made up my referral for the OB. my usual OB is off bc she had surgery. i think he said he thinks she had a stroke. the OB i’ll be going to delivered Sawyer. or he was there anyway. the med students did most of it. he stitched me when they were taking too long (i tore.) 

we talked about changes at my hospital. another hospital inthe same city finally merged obstetrics with my hospital. he said it’s a good thing bc the children’s hospital is at my hospital. it just makes sense.

i went off to make an appt for 2 weeks (yes, we’re at that point now!!) and they’ll see if they can get me in to the new OB prob in a month. (i have to go to the OB to go to that hospital. it’s my hospital of choice. has a birthing center and maternity ward. there’s no maternity ward or anything at the hospital in the town my doc is in.)

i headed off to Gamma Dynacare to get my blood taken (2 or 3 vials) and then off to lunch. shopping didn’t go well.i was too tired 🙁 i got my dad and dennis father’s day presents. i wanted to start gathering up my hospital bag stuff but we didnt ‘have a lot of time and i had no energy. i got dennis a book and a pie. my dad got chocolate and a card. my mom got her bday present tuesday (her bday is today) – a book and 2 little plants the boys picked (they have to be planted but they’re in little pots. i hope i didn’t leave prices on them…)

btw, we ate at a chinese buffet (no MSG) for our anniversary. so NOT worth taking me to while pregnant bc i can eat minimal (at least i can eat some this time!) chicken and i don’t eat most other meats. but the dessert/sundae bar rocked lol. dennis said it was going to be an expensive sundae when he saw what i ate. we saw pirates of the caribbean which was really good. i liked it better than the last one. and it wasn’t crowded in the theater which i love. i hate crowds.

got my column handed in this week. my interviewees have disappeared. fuck. i could’ve used the pay for the other 2 articles.

Beau had a great day at preschool. OF COURSE. i couldn’t bear to hear "oh here’s what he did today" so i sent my mom in for him. of course he had a great day and my mom got to hear all about it! i never get that! little bum. he’s not sleeping well though. it’s been rough.
