after we took Beau to the doc yesterday (Friday night, he threw up all over Dennis…twice, Saturday he had a fever, and Sunday he was fine but i knew it was an ear infection so off we went to the doc), we went out for lunch and then shopping at Old Navy (and the dollar store for a few things.) i was very excited, though peeved that dennis requested we make a "deal" that i wouldn’t get upset if things didn’t fit or they didn’t have my size or something. the bum. i kept my promise and got 2 dresses 🙂 of course, it’s cold today. we have parties coming up and dennis’s vacation time (can’t wait!) and all that so i wanted some more dresses, since i pretty much live in them and my comfy capri style pants from the Real Canadian Superstore (grocery store with clothing line Joe Fresh.)
i can’t find my dresses on the site to show you. one is purple with beads on the straps. i’m thinking i’ll have to put a tank under it (why do people want all their dresses to show so much cleavage?) but i’m also thinking dennis would love if i didn’t. we’ll see. if i can cover up enough, i might do without the tank. the straps are adjustable. the other dress is a cute striped number with a tie that does up around the neck. i’ll likely do a post about them soon for my summer style post on one of the sites i work for, now that my boss is back from Europe! they had some nice bags at the store. worth looking at. i was going to get a swing skirt but the colour i wanted didn’t come in my size (they were on sale so prob all gone.)
tonight sawyer has ball hockey. that’s about all. i haven’t been going to women’s kickboxing at the club b/c i just don’t enjoy that class. i like the regular classes better with the trainer of the club as teacher. not that the girl who teaches the women’s class isn’t good at it but i dunno. i just like the other class better. i need to get doing more though b/c i’ve gained weight. we’ve been eating CRAP lately. it’s getting bad. ugh.

Everything nowadays seems to be extremely low cut! Ryn: I like to scrapbook but its expensive and time consuming. I used to digitally scrap but then my laptop broke down.

Ryn: I bought these tube tops and if something is super-low cut than I just stick one of those on under the shirt and it makes it perfect!

I loooooveee Joe Fresh. I’m wearing one of their hoodies right now. And I got a sweet tank top there for $4. Its such a good store for basics. I love their socks too.

I think all the clothes are made for 16yr olds who haven’t given birth yet. Nobody makes clothes with a mom in mind who may not be comfortable letting “it all hang out”.

RYN: Well so does Trev so it didn’t actually benefit me much, but it’s the thought that counts, right? lol And in all fairness I did have him do a french manicure which isn’t the most simple thing. Sammie’s friends are great with Alyssa, they love her to death 🙂 It’s very cool because they’re kinda at that age where you’d think they’d not even give her the time of day, but it’s never like that. They play with her and look after her, it’s really sweet. Yeah, you are! lol It’s because you can relate so well. Trev is super supportive and encouraging, but he just doesn’t get why it’s so hard for me, not very many people do.
