Thankful

I have wanted to get here for the past few days, but working midnites and being busy just wasn’t giving me what I needed. This is my last midnite to work and I am off the next two nights. Looking forward to sleeping and just relaxing. Summer is slipping away and it really makes me sad to see the days get shorter. I love to be outdoors in the sun and without every piece of clothing on that I own. I don’t do cold well at all anymore.

That being said, much good news has come about the past week or so. Mom has been recovering nicely from her surgery. She has not been as pleased as I have been, she thinks she should be at 100 percent immediately. Her wounds have healed nicely and really look good. We met last week with the oncologist, whom I immediately loved for her kind and caring manner. The Dr. took an amazing time explaining everything to us, and advised us that mom didn’t need chemotherapy. She said she wanted her to see the radiologic oncologist to discuss radiation. We met with him today and he said that he did recommend radiation, or that the surgeon could go and remove more tissue and forgo treatment. Mom had already made her mind up that she didn’t want any more surgery. So she got all ready for the treatments that will probably start next week sometime. THe Dr. recommended 33 treatments. Mom seems good with that.

I am so thankful that this has all gone so well. I truly feel that GOd did answer all of our prayers and continues too daily. I am grateful for all the family and friends support that we have received from everyone.

As for me, lots going on. Trying to get the estate settled on the farm. I started this a while back, and the judge on the case issued a summons for us to appear due to taking too long to get the inventory filed. We were scheduled to be in court this morning and 30 minutes before we were to appear, my attorney called me to say that it was postponed until further notice. Oh well, so much for getting that done quickly. More going on, but I won’t bore us all with the rest tonite. I am working and my copper boys seem to want to work. So for now, good nite to all and God bless.

Answered prayer! So glad she can skip the chemo. Sorry to hear the estate settlement is taking so long, though.

Wonderful news about your Mom. Yes, I’m sure she wants to feel 100% better…lol…my dad is the same way. They seem to forget their age at times.

I hope mom continues to do well. I hope you do well too. 🙂

RYN: Be glad to do that for you on my next post. 🙂

RYN: I like the flakiness of the crust, but yeah, it could easily be cut down. About Washington: I am ticked off that one small group can hold an entire country hostage all because they didn’t get their way on one law. Wah, wah, wah, the big babies led by the biggest baby of all: John Boehner. The Tea Party is a bunch of loonies.
