Rough Week

I only title this in this was so that I can go back and refer to the happenings for later use.  I am not complaining or looking for sympathy.  But this is how things have been.

On Monday I was off all day and decided to sleep in cause it would be my only real day off.  I like to spend some mornings just waking up when it feels right without any obligations.  THis coming week won’t have any of those kind of days.  Monday was a day of accomplishing some things that I have wanted to do since I  bought this house seven year ago.

My major project of the day was to empty out my cabinet under my kitchen sink and see if I could locate the corpse of a deceased rodent that was causing me lots of foul digusting odor.  My old house has lots of little nooks and crannies and even some man made hiding spots since the guy that I bought the house from was a major grower of green herbal vegitation for resale.  Aka… marijuana.  Now don’t get me wrong, everybody needs to make a living somehow.  But the genious liked to cut the bottoms out of cupboards and under cabinets to hide his products.  I found spaces that I didn’t know existed.

Anyhow my creative skills kicked in and there is always a way to correct a problem if you study it long enough and stroll around the garage to see just what repair jems that you have present.  And a mass collection of nuts, bolts, screw, and nails will solve any problem with a big enough hammer.

After standing on my head inside the sink cabinet I was lucky enough to locate the remains of the carcass and extricate him into a plastic bag for disposal.  If anybody is grossed out, just turn the page and this story will be over.  Anyhow, all holes were patched, and the inside of the cabinet was scrubbed, washed and all the contents cleaned and replaced.  That called for a celebration of a couple of cold beverages and a good nites sleep.

Tuesday morning brought an early wake up to open at the Big Bob Evans and get some hours in there.  We were quite busy and I was very  quiet, causing my coworkers to ask if I was okay?  I am usually happy and having fun, but I knew that I would have to leave that afternoon and visit my family doctor.  I had been making of list of health issues that I wanted to discuss with her and I was a little worried.  So I ended my day at bob’s and came home to shower and head out to the docs office.  On the way, about half way there I heard a loud commotion and the banging of something in the area of the left rear tire of my truck.  I waited for the tire to start going flat, but it didn’t, so I slowed down and crept along until I had a safe place to pull over.  I pulled over into a small market and when I looked at the tire, the belts had separated, but the tire was still inflated.  So I had about two miles to go to the docs office and I prayed and putted along hoping the tire would hold out and make it.  Well it did and I arrived on time.  I called a friend to meet me after the appointment, to at least take me home becuase I didn’t own a spare and the tire wouldn’t have made it safely home.  And then I went inside to see the doctor with my list in hand.  Oh boy, the next part sure wasn’t any fun.  Doc ain’t very pleased with my health right about now.

I’ve got to take a break and finish up my 16 hour shift but I will finish this for me and to keep you all bored to tears.  Thanks for listening.
