Octobers end is near
Well the end is near for the month. It seems like this year has passed so quickly, yet also so slowly. THe summer was the most beautiful of many gone by. I could stand to have summers like that for the rest of my days. I only wonder what the winter will bring. I fear it may be a wet wicked one. I hope not.
The family got together on Sunday to celebrate my dad’s 77th birthday. It was good to have everyone together and two of his siblings came also. His favorite moment was getting a big hug from his great grandson who is just two years old. Corben turned two in September and weighs in at a mere 38 pounds. He took his daddys hair trimmers and gave himself a nice buzz cut. What a handsome little man.
The big news for the day is that workers comp has agreed to pay for half of my knee surgery. Now I don’t know if the other half will be done or we will have to file for the second half at a later date. I will ask my attorney if my health insurance can cover the expense and then we can settle with workers comp during the legal battle. Workers comp says that I had a preexisting injury and the fall that I took only made it worse. So the meniscus tear will be the part that they will agree to fix. And it has only taken them 18 months to make up their mind. But hte surgery will now have to wait until after the first of January because I have a two week vacation scheduled for November and then the Christmas holidays will be upon us. I refuse to be inconvenienced then.
And as for work, I am still on rotating shifts and as of right now I am working midnights. Some of my coworkers have chosen to not carry their fair share of the load and are mad because I have picked up a great deal of overtime. So the work scene is not exactly the way that I like it. Oh well, my favorite day of the week is payday.
Well enough babbling, I have about an hour and a half left before my day ends. I have to stop by the farm and feed the cattle for my dad, because he hasn’t been feeling the best and I think he likes keeping me involved still any way he can.
And on a good note, younger neice Bean has gotten her act back together and is not partying and getting in trouble any more. She in now back to straight A’s. I told her the other day that I was proud of her and was glad to have her back. And her older brother aka, Bub, has just finished heavy equipment school and was hired on the spot by a large excavating company. So for the most part life is good.
Hope you all are well. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
