Mom called

THe phone rang a little after 6 this morning and mom said husband had passed at about 5.  She was with his family and I am not sure how things transpired yesterday after I made the power of attorney legal.

Seems that his two sons are not on good terms and I met the other son and liked him better than his brother.  Oh well, all I need to do is make sure mom is okay.  She ain’t home yet so maybe they  went and finished the funeral detail before calling it a day.  I will get dressed here in a few minutes and go out and see who I find.  Hopefully she took the phone out of the bedroom and is sleeping.

I will find when the details are and will take the day off of work.  Even tho I cared little for the man, mom will need some moral support.  I even mentioned taking a trip to florida when this is all over.  She seemed interested.  Maybe not.

Anyhow I need to get a move on and finish cleaning the kitchen and my bedroom before I have to retutn to work tomorrow.  Just talked to the surgery center to finish all details for knee surgery next Tuesday.  Hopefully this will be the year I get part of my life back.  I can only hope so.
