Good Ol Midnites

Yeah back in the seat for my first midnight shift.  I get to work five of these and have the weekend off.  I can’t complain cause the two cops that I am working with are good guys.  We started the shift out with pizza and then a good civil domestic so the the night begin.

On other notes, my knee surgury was declined by workers comp, and we filed an appeal thru my attorney.  He was very concerned about the loss of vision in my right eye.  I did tell him that a technician in the office was able to show a distinguished pattern in vision loss.  Hopefully that will mean something later on down the road when we get ready to settle all this stuff.

My bargain car that I had bought back in march met it’s demise about a month ago in the driveway of my neighbor who was doing some work on it.  Fortuneatly the insurance settlement came out much better than I had expected and the price doubled.  I guess if you don’t have big expectations of what you are going to get, you get surprised when things really do turn out good.

I did have the wonderful occasion to help out my mechanic neighbor the other day and he asked me to help him go and pick up a car.  I didn’t know until we were going to get it that he was talking about his 1996 Mustang Convertible.  Well he knows my love of Mustangs and bless his heart he showed me how to put the top down and told me to have fun.  I did the responsible thing and just drove it home, but dang, I likes me a convertible.  (big grins)

He did tell me that he knows a guy that has one that he may want to sell and I told him to check it out cause I just might be in the market.  But only if the price is right.  So maybe if the moon is in the right place, I will have me a convertible.  But if not, that’s okay too.  I am willing to wait to get something next year that will be nice.  Patience!!!!!

I really don’t have much to ramble on about.  I look forward to going home this morning to my puppies.  I have to stop and pick up some dog food for them because we have no more.  And they can run around for awhile this morning before I hit the bed.  I love the sun coming up in the early morning.  I love hearing the birds and smelling the morning air.  We have had a perfect summer so far and I sure have enjoyed it.  My tomatoes are just now starting to ripen and I can’t wait to have fresh tomatoes every meal.   Well I only have about two hours left in the shift and I think I will read for a while too.  Hope everyone has a great day.
