Christmas Day 2011
Merry Christmas to all my OD friends. You are still truly one of the best gifts that I have ever received. As I sit here at work, having a fairly pleasant day, I am still reminded of those who can’t be with family and friends because of work or service to our country. I have a heavy heart for those who have lost loved ones to illness, violence or just becuase. I hurt for those who are less fortunate that I and yet, I still have such comfort that I am where I am supposed to be today. I try to make certain that I pay my kindness forward in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
Many of good citizen has come by the police station today to drop off goodies and show their appreciation to us for working to serve them daily. We laugh at the folks who still bring us "donuts," but we are still greatful for their kind deed.
I spent a lovely evening with my mom last night. We shared grilled ribeye’s and baked potatoes, along with freshly made honey wheat bread from a dear friend. After that, mom had some things she wanted done around her home, so we took care of those tasks while laughing and enjoying each others company.
So as this day moves along, I hope and wish you all have a blessed day. Jesus was given to us as the greatest gift, and His greatest gift to us was love. So please know that I have love in my heart for each of you as we have grown together over the years. You have all shared your lives with me as we have traveled this road and been loving and supportive in the worst of times. Merry Christmas and God bless.
Merry Christmas, Soph. I hope the coming year is good to you!

Time with your Mom sounds nice and cozy. Glad folks like you do what you must do to take care of the rest of us. Hope your time at work was quiet and donate those donuts to the Sr Citizens or someone who would love a sweet treat!! My son brought donuts here yesterday AM in spite of a huge breakfast in the making. lol The donuts were a hit anyway!!
