Ugh

Jake has no uniforms yet. He has not yet been assigned a unit, and therefore won’t get any until that happens.

They can’t get him into a transportation briefing until next Tuesday, which means we can’t schedule the movers until then. He’s been told it could be up to three weeks before they get us moved out there. Which means that we will definitely not be spending our 10th anniversary together. I think we’ve spent more apart than we have together.

They didn’t get him into Finance today because personnel has not finished his paperwork. He probably won’t be going to Finance until Friday. As such, he has been told that he will be missing the pay date cutoff and will now not get paid until MARCH 1st.

Because he will likely not be getting paid for over a MONTH, we are going to have to either borrow money from my dad, or get an advance on his pay. Between a deposit on the house we’ll be renting, first month’s rent, having to cover the mortgage for the house here in Charlotte….we have finally exhausted all of our money. I have nothing left after that for paying our other bills or buying groceries.

Hopefully, we’ll receive the money he’s still owed from his retirement fund and 401(k) soon. Won’t be soon enough to eliminate the need to pursue one of the options above, but at least I’ll breathe a little easier once we have it.
