I’m still here.
I’m still here, trying to read, trying to note, but I’ve been sick for the last month. I go better for two days and then was coughing with runny nose. I hope this ends soon. At first I thought it was my allergies but I think it’s something else. Whatever it is needs to go away. I haven’t been able to do much because of it.
On a lighter note, I have been in Arts and Crafts mode. First I crochet a scarf for one of my co-workers, it was my first attempt at an adults scarf and it came out great. I loved it, he loved it and we were both happy. It was a trade off because he likes to sew and made me and awesome hobby bag out of material with Sugar Skulls. I carry it every day.
The next thing I am working on is my baby book. I was inspired by Sapphire’s Gaze, because she recently finished her baby book. She is the only mom that I know of that has finished their baby’s book, and I am determined to be the second one. I was on week 11 of my pregnancy before I discovered only scrap booking and since I am a tiny bit OCD, I have to finish they way I started So every day I cut and glue and draw and write, I have 19 more weeks to go, so I figure at a page a day I will be done way before her 2nd birthday. I refuse to start any other projects until this is done. I tried to have a Scrap Book and Spirits party but that fell through. I have all this scrap booking stuff and thought I could one help other mom’s finish their books and two use up all this stuff. I’m not a scrap booker and I only plan on doing on more book when and if baby number 2 gets here and after that I’m done with the scrap booking. If I ever get the urge to make another book, I will buy things as I need them so I don’t clutter up my house. After the book is done, I will start my 365. The hubby has already started his and is putting up some amazing photos at panddlewisphotography.smugmug.com. Photography was supposed to be my new hobby but I haven’t been practicing, shame on me.
I am somewhat on track to loosing weight. I have lost 20 pounds since August first. I got way off track during the holidays and again when I got sick. I kept using those things as excuses, when really there was no excuses. I have decided that no matter what I stick to my guns. A holiday is only one day, not a week or two, so I eat bad that day and the rest of the days it is back to our regularly scheduled program. One thing that helped me this week was an actual meal plan. I used to plan my meals daily and if I forgot to do it the night before, my entire day was messed up. So I plan an entire week of meals and adjust as needed, it helped me stick to my plan even during the times when I almost always default.
Other things that help are to make Monthly goals, like for the month of January was no soda, for February it will be a fruit or vegetable with every meal, as well as a full glass of water every time I eat something. I also make weekly goals to try and get back in the habit of exercising. This week was 1 hour of cardio 5 days a week. I only mad 4 days, but it’s supposed to be nice out so I may go for a walk. Next week will be 30 mins cardio and 30 minutes body weight exercises 5 days. It’s not much but it is something.
Ok so this is what happens when I don’t write often. I should make that a goal as well.

ryn: thanks i will have to check both those places. We shop at both already 🙂 Haha thats the one thing that sucks about being my size, i cant get many hand-me-downs at all! Never thought about that when i was losing the weight.
