Summer Welcome

Welcome to the beginning of the rest of my life. I feel like there should be confetti and balloons and all sorts of cool decorations. Maybe a "Surprise! It’s the rest of your life!" kind of thing.

Summer Welcome was good. Oh for those of you who don’t know, Summer Welcome is Mizzou’s version of orientation where they kind of show and tell us how things go down around Mizzou and register for classes and good stuff like that.

Anyways, it was a lot of fun. They split us up into small groups and we talked about different things, played a few games. I met a lot of incoming freshmen plus some of the upperclassmen who were running the Summer Welcome.

So I’m currently listed as a biochemistry major, but I’m pretty sure that’ll change by the end of my first semester. They feed you well at Mizzou, so I’ll probably come back with the Mizzou-22. Hopefully a bit of that will be upward growth.

I’m sure there were a few there, but I didn’t meet any other Christians at Summer Welcome, given there are like 15 or so sessions, but it was still kind of disappointing. Oh well, can’t let that get me down. I plan on getting involved in CRU, so I’ll get to meet some there.

And one last thing, my room is a double suite, meaning i have a roommate and we share a bathroom with 2 other guys, which isn’t bad and is certainly and improvment over sharing a bathroom with 50 other guys.
