Tired Grandma
We had Logan for the night, first time, last night. 🙂 Oh for just fun! BUT oh for just *tiring* too. Plus I didn’t feel good and sure enough got the flu today, hope he doesn’t catch it. I kissed him very little and only on the top of his wee head anyway, just in case.
He got very fussy last night, I think he missed his mommy I do. *s* Or maybe he didn’t feel good either, he was all snuffly, poor baby. But he was asleep for the night around 10 or so and slept until 4am to eat, then back to sleep ’til 8-not bad at all I thought!
Brie had a “blind date” set up by her friend, and it went well, but Brie said No thrills. *L* I said: “Good.” Just get out there girl! We brought Logan home this a.m., then I pretty much did nothing-watched a Christmas movie, then started my Christmas cards.
*stretch*
Still feel crappy, but nowhere near as bad as before. For now anyway and I’ll take it. I’m glad I got all my decorating done before getting sick. The house looks so pretty and the tree we got is just beautiful. A 7 footer and it looks fake it’s so perfect. Paid the earth for it, but it was worth it…and it smells divine.
Last year, after losing a box to wet, we switched the decorations to all the same of those huge plastic bins w/ covers, does that ever work slick. Now they are all safe and the empty ones stack into each other until after Christmas. BUT becuz’ we did that quickly, it was so unorganized. I’ll fix that this time, then next year will be a snap.
Yes, I realize I am tickled by the simplest things. *g*
Time is flying by and no, I am not done with my Christmas shopping. That is my normal pattern. I like to put the pressure on a bit. Soothing you know. *snort* Oh well I’ll be done by next weekend hopefully.
Hmmm. It’s been so long, you’d think I’d have some very exciting things to tell. Thing is, even if something does happen, if I don’t write it right away,it’s gone. Sigh. This over 40 shit just keeps happening, apparently this new memory or rather lack of it, is here to stay. Oh. Joy.
Another thing is I get so tired. I swear since I turned 40 I get so very tired now after doing something. It wasn’t a gradual thing. Just boom. Does the brain/body react just like that? Ye Gods what will 50 bring? Total destruction after a late night? Have to take a break after doing the dishes? Have someone wipe the sweat from my brow as I vacuum? Well I can hardly wait for that let me tell you.
I did drop my pics off, but haven’t picked them up yet. Can’t wait to see them. Logan has one new thing-well several and very hard to catch on camera-where hubs plays the guitar and Logan LOVES it. He watches and dances the whole time. Longest we’ve ever seen him watch just one thing. The other night it was over 20 minutes. It’s hysterical. His little eyes get round, then he purses his lips (he does this when concentrating) then his little arms and legs are just a going. He sits in his bouncy chair in front of Steve so he can move all around, I have to keep scooting him up! *L* He’s got the music in him alright. Both my girls ‘danced’ early on, but more like 6 months-not 2. I think we’re looking at a world class musician here folks. *w*
And what is it about a baby smiling at you that simply makes you feel so great? Especially when they are little like this, and just starting it. He smiles and we feel on top of the world…chosen…blessed. *L* I mean, he *likes* us-he *actually* likes us! *snort* I just crack up over what Logan must be thinking of all of us. We crack each other up saying what we think. Lord we are all easily amused! Or no, we’re just happy, love to laugh kinda people. Yeah, that sounds better.
Oh ugh. My stomach is feeling upside down again. Well the good thing is any of that pesky holiday weight gain I’ve had thus far will no longer be a problem. Hee. And aren’t you tickled I shared that with you?
Shit on a stick. I do hate feeling horrid. Get all whiny too so I’ll leave before I share that too! *L*
Stay well. Ta.
Yes, 50 is exactly as you described it. Only worse. Feel better soon girlfriend….love you…

I hope you feel better soon… and eeks… I’m already experiencing what you are at 36. Does that mean it’s all downhill from here? Egads. *hugs*

Ewww. Hope you recover fast! I think I don’t like this 40 thing. I’m tired all the time too, for no reason. Other than advanced age, I guess. We STILL don’t have our tree, since with all this snow which I wish I could send you, we can’t get our truck out to pick it up. Maybe this week. RYN – I’ve got pictures stacked up from at LEAST 6 years too. That was my abandoned project last winter.

Well I’m happy as Larry after reading that first note!! I’m about to buy Iron tablets today to see if that makes a difference to my constant tiredness – I thought it was just lack of sleep but I’m kinda feeling it might be more than that. Hope your flu comes to nothing & you feel better soon – hurry up with these pics!

If I smile & giggle at you… would you feel better? 😉

Oh, Grandma, you’re so special. Neither one of my daughter’s grandparents would babysit her until she slept through the night. Take care of yourself!
