Three
Heh. Title sound familiar? Now tell me it has been a *year* (!?) since I used it before? Well, that sure sailed by. ‘Course it’s been busy around here, and that does tend to make time go quickly.
Brie & Logan are here tonight, for the night. I just snuck down for a kiss from my little man. He is sleeping, but I kiss him really soft and dodge dirty looks from Brie. Ha! Lord that child is precious. Have I mentioned that before? *L* Today he had on his little blue sweat pants, red henley shirt and teeny blue tennies. Oh yes, I took several pic’s and will post them w/ the Christmas ones. He’s getting so big and is now recognizing us w/o a doubt. When I go in to Brie’s and give him kisses and say hi, he gets all excited and starts “talking” away to me. Filling me in on all that went on in my absence, you understand. *w* Grandma’s little peanuthead. You can hear now, what his voice is going to sound like. Funny,I was in a rush for my kids to be in the next stage…”can’t wait ’til she crawls, walks, etc.” But I’m very content to enjoy every second of Logan and not rush one thing. It’s nice. I kinda like it. *g*
I took a swing back to my diary last Christmas, then wished I hadn’t. I can*not* believe I posted those pics of me. What drugs was I on? Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I was unhappy about some things at the time, guess it really shows. On my face anyway.
Anyways, last year I was saying how I thought the end was near for Carl and Brie. Boy I can read the future like a book. *snort* At that time she was pregnant with Logan and none of us knew it yet. What changes a mere year can bring. In this case wonderful ones and blessings galore from Logans birth and the changes Brie has and is undergoing.
At that time I was also getting ready for the New Years Eve at our friends, which is what we plan on doing this year, if anything. Besides becoming grandparents, which is rather a biggee, our personal lives haven’t changed to much. In fact, I think hubs and I either stay home more or go out-just the two of us, even more. Duds I guess.
Last night,we went to a bar nearby that has good bands (we’ve heard). But it was a “Tribute to the 80’s” band, and since I (hubs either) didn’t like most of that first time around, we didn’t stay long. Plus the bar scene was just terrible. Hadn’t changed one bit in the 14 years we’ve stayed out of it. *shudder* After 40 minutes or so, I just wanted to leave because I felt so mean. There was one guy there, you know the one, he thinks he is God’s gift to women. He kept getting in the way of my view of the band, I’m sure he thought he was doing me a favor, that I dang near had to bounce his head off the bar. “Just one bounce.” I pleaded w/ hubs. But he remained firm, well as firm as one can while laughing, that I mustn’t. Sigh. I won’t go into the rest of it. What is it about booze that makes people feel irresistible?
Anyway, the reason we went, is to check out the band because Hubs band is playing (lst gig) in a couple weeks. They had a great setup, a ton of equipment, but the sound was off, and the background vocals were flat. Bummer. The lead singer was awesome, great voice. Whatever he sang, he pulled off. He had to be well over 40, yet his voice was pure and perfectly on key…after singing in smoky bars for years. But hubs felt their doing ok, he’s been nervous. He was relieved, it’s been a long time you know and this time they’re doing rock-a lot diff. then country from the crowds to the difficulty level of the songs themselves.
Well, th-th-that’s all folks, I can barely keep my eyes open here. Time to hit the hay. Have a great night/day.
Ta.
Many Blessings for the coming year… Huggies 🙂

It’s amazing how things can change so much in a year – and it’s always nice when they’ve changed for the better! RYN – funny you and Marg both pictured me with longer hair, since until fairly recently I always had it much longer. Before I got this radical short style, it was probably to my shoulder blades. A sure way to give your stylist a heart attack – “Cut it ALL OFF!!!”
