Sixes and Sevens

Another Christmas shot, hubs looks a tad menacing doesn’t he? *L* He’s really a very good hubs and grandpa, except for when he pisses me off, of course. *g*

I’m wandering around, unwilling to start anything because I have to leave in a while to go to the library, then pick up Chels, then take Brie shopping. I could be wandering around the library but NO WAY am I going there, then coming home and leaving again. It is too friggin’ cold for that. It’s -3 degrees and though the sun is shining in a bright blue sky, I am not deceived -my nostrils will freeze together when I run out to start the van. 3 below is NOT that cold, but remember we’ve been ‘blessed’ with an easy winter and it does take some getting used to. Especially these days. (but I won’t get started on that again.) Did I hear a collective sigh of release?!

Well, well, 2 entries in 2 days. That’s a record for me in some time I think. Woobaby look at me go! *g*

Chels and I went to WW last night and she lost 4 and I lost 3. I was astounded, especially on my part. I was terrible-one night I had a ton of chips and dip. How the hell did I lose weight? Neither of us did very well and still lost weight-this shit could really work! That is exciting news. *s* So now we are really enthused to do even better. I haven’t been drinking any water, Chels hasn’t been drinking all hers either, so that’s not even it. Anyway, that was good news hey?

Oh, when I said I had Logan this weekend, I meant during the time Brie worked. Not the nights! After I watch my darling, then hubs and I will work on a finishing job-a rush one (of course). We’ll start tonight, go to the home show early tomorrow morning (45-50 minutes away), drop off Brie and get her going, and I’ll see all hubs work this week. Then we’ll come home, pick up Logan bring him home, hubs will hit it in the garage until he goes down and picks Brie up and checks up on everyone, answers questions, etc. Then I’ll bring Logan home, and go out to work in the garage w/ hubs. To start all over on Sunday.

Can you say *exhausted*, by Monday??!! I don’t even wanna think about it. Oy. Seriously. I’m changing the subject. *L*

Did I tell you Logan is really laughing now? Big belly laughs. He sounds so grown up. *sniff* I wish I could get it on here, is there anything more darling then a baby’s laughter? EVERYONE cracks up, just hearing it. Carl gets him to do it the most. I’ll be giving it my best shot this weekend. *w* He’s so funny, he doesn’t sit still long now before his little legs start pumping and you just know he wants to get down and run around *so* bad. Brie is going to have her hands full with this little one! (heehee) I worry (well, duh, that’s me). Both Brie and Carl have ADHD. Logan doesn’t have a chance. I’m hoping they’ll cancel each other out. *snort* (Grandmothers can dream!) But it’s doubtful. He only catnaps throughout the day, and still wakes up at night. I’m thinking Grandma’s gonna be doing lots of running after this one too! *w* And it will be my pleasure.

Our dish is frozen so we have no tv reception and our DVD died, you know. We’ve been so busy we haven’t had time to go get one either. Chels saw one at Target, a DVD and VHS combined-anyone have one of those? I think we’ll get one like that, we have a ton of VHS of course. But I am NOT getting on the icy roof to chop the dish free. No way. I don’t watch enough tv to, anyway. Chels will have to ask her daddy for this one. When they abound on how *wonderful* dishtv is, they don’t tell you these things do they? Scumsuckers.

It is now a balmy 2 above. *snort* And time to get moving. Have a great weekend, everyone!

J and I worry about that too… if you have 2 ADD parents, it seems like you’re almost guaranteed to have an ADD child. We’re still hoping otherwise, though…

Wait, how did I miss that you and Chelsea were going to WW????? Congrats on the loss… sounds like it’s going well! 🙂

I can’t see the pic… 🙁

February 7, 2003

I can’t see the picture either! Congratulations on the weight, though – that’s happy news. I didn’t know a Dish could FREEZE. Yikes. We just got a plain DVD, since we already have THREE VCRs – it just seemed like overkill. I know other people with them who like them a lot, though. Actually it’s probably very nice, since I doubt you’d have to go through as much switching between them as we do.

I didn’t know dishes could freeze, this is good to know since I was considering changing over (damn cable is a rip-off) I can’t see the pic, Baby sounds so cute!

He doesn’t look menacing to me – he just looks sweet in his little red cross suit on a white square background (hah – fooled you!). Sometimes if I can’t see a pic I go into the Properties & copy & paste the URL & see it that way & I noticed yours is saying it’s on your own computer’s Desktop so maybe that’s why we can’t see it. What’s a finishing job by the way? Is that you helping Hubs with work?

-3 degrees is “not that cold”. HaHaHaHaHaHa. We start to shiver when it hits 32! Way to go on WW – I’m going to email you a website that may interest you. Can’t see the pic of Logan and cutie 🙁 I hope you get a “take it easy” day real soon. love you…

One more thing. You know all the times we’ve talked about our girls? Go read Jhawk’s latest entry. love you..

I didn’t know Satellite dishes could freeze!!!! 🙂

Wow! Sounds like you are really keeping busy. Mason is starting to laugh too. Congrads on the weight loss. We keep heat tape on our sat. dish. Seems to work. Hugs

I cannot see the picture either! Boo Hoo.

RYN: Thank you for your kind words! 🙂 Learning the hard way sucks… but sometimes it’s necessary, I guess. I suppose the best you can hope for is that you don’t do too much damage on your way to enlightenment! *LOL* Take care…

RYN: I get the Malt-O-Meal Maple Brown Sugar… if you make it with water, it’s only 4 pts! Remember… you can eat anything you want on WW… just in moderation. Otherwise, you end up feeling deprived, and that can be a huge diet killer!

February 15, 2003

Great on WW,

ryn: try the WW cookie dough sundae. Really, honestly good (just too damn small). love you…

RYN: The trick is to eat heathier AND not feel deprived… it’s tough at first, but it gets easier. I’m trying to think of some tricks to pass along that made things easier for me… here’s what I can come up w/right now: 1. Drink LOTS of water, 2. Celebrate small goals instead of big ones (like having lost 5 lbs rather than waiting til you get to goal) and 3. Celebrate with NON-FOOD goodies,

February 19, 2003

4. Try to eat something heavy in protein for breakfast… keeps you fuller longer and helps sustain energy, 5. Don’t think of WW as a diet… if you think “diet”, you’ll equate it with “deprived”, and that hinders in the long run, 6. Don’t give up! I’m sure you’ve already heard all that in your meeting, but it bears repeating… I’ll try to see what else I can come up with that might help…
