What A Day!!

Today was pure yuckiness, once I got to work. Working 7 hours straight with only one 15-minute break is bad enough. Taking back-to-back phone calls for those 7 hours is even worse. I worked some 1300+ accounts today, most of the time just saying "hello" over and over again. Heavy sigh.

The beginning of my day was good, though. I got up, did laundry (that I didn’t get to do because Stan hogged the machine), finished reading Eclipse for the second time, and had an interesting phone call. Oh, and I searched around on the Internet, downloading updates to my drivers and searching The Sims message boards for possible solutions to my problem. Meanwhile, the game sits here on the desk, mocking me. Damn you, EA!

I had coffee with Angela this past Friday evening, and it was fun. She told me she was still on the lookout for job openings at her pharmacy. Well, today, she texted me about a position that’s opened up. I’m going to have my mom fax my resume. It’s for a pharmacy tech, a pill counter, she said. I think they want experience, which I don’t technically have, but I would learn very quickly. She told me to send it over anyway, just to try. I’m not unhappy at Chase… but like I said, I do miss healthcare.

That was the extent of my day, basically. Quite boring. But I’m doing what I promised, and trying to write every day. I’m hoping this helps unlock my writer’s block. I have been in the mood to write lately. I started a story at work the other night, but haven’t finished it. I got stuck.

My tummy is rumbling, so I’m off to find something to eat.
