Sidetracked

I had every intention of writing this morning, but oops – I was sidetracked all day 🙂

Thursday was a decent day. Since I have Fridays and Saturdays off, Thursday is now the end of my week, and therefore the day that passes slowest. It didn’t help that Laura left work early after having a slight mental breakdown. All’s well with her now, I do believe. It was also FREEZING inside the building. Even my lips were cold. Definitely not cool. I had lunch with Jeffery, and we ate outside so I could warm up. Poor kid has a lot of family drama going on, and he was telling me all about it while we ate. He’s thinking of moving back to Louisiana (insert sad face here) to get away from all the crap. He’s gonna give it a month to see how things go, and if they don’t improve here, then he’s gonna take off. Can’t say I blame him.

When I got home last night, Stan and I watched a movie – Gone Baby Gone. I liked it. It was pretty dark and kinda sad, but I enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure what to expect, because I hadn’t heard a lot about it.

I woke up at 10:00 this morning (after going to bed at 5:00 – oops) and went to have lunch with my mom. We went to this little diner called Brian’s right up the street from her apartment. It was pretty tasty, and cheap too. Gotta love that. I wanted to hang out with her longer, but I was exhausted, so I came home and napped. Stan got home around 3:30, and we headed out to have an early dinner at Mimi’s Cafe, then did some shopping. I bought a new book (Finger Lickin’ Fifteen by Janet Evanovich) and a CD (Paramore – recently discovered them on the Twilight soundtrack), while Stan got himself a CD and a birthday present for his sister. Then we headed home to nap some more (I was still tired), then woke up and enjoyed some quality time in bed 😉

Now we’re contemplating going to a movie, but I don’t think it will happen. Most likely we’ll end up ordering a pizza (sex always makes me hungry) and just cuddling on the couch. Sounds pretty damn good to me.

The new Harry Potter movie is in a little over two weeks!!! YAY!!!
