NoJoMo #8

I wasn’t lying yesterday – I really didn’t do much. After I finished writing, I went out and got Stan and myself some lunch. Once we were finished eating, he asked me to come outside and help him install some new screen… one of our panels came loose, and he was replacing it. So I got to hold it in place while I secured it. He did a pretty good job. Not as tight as a pro would have gotten it, probably, but it works. After that, we just watched football until it was time to go to the concert.

The show was awesome. I always love seeing All That Remains. Not just because the lead singer is hot, either. I like their music, and that have a great energy during their shows. Sadly, the lead singer didn’t take his shirt off last night, but he was still yummy. All the bands were pretty good. I didn’t really care for the first one, but they weren’t terrible. We walked out of there deaf, but happy 🙂

Not much to say again today, sadly. I have to write before work this week because it’s my midnight week. Bah. I’m sure I’ll have more to say tomorrow, mostly about how much I hate my place of employment.

Oh! Speaking of… the guy who I was supposed to meet with on Friday called me back (at 8:00am) and left me a message saying they closed the office on Friday due to the shootings downtown, and to call him back to reschedule. I think he may have said sorry once, and it didn’t sound sincere. Look, I realize the shootings on Friday were chaotic and sudden. This guy’s in Maitland, which isn’t really that close to downtown. Do you think a phone call to your afternoon appointments would have been too much? If I hadn’t been able to make it because of the shootings, I would have called. It’s just courtesy. Needless to say, I’m not calling him back. F that.
