NoJoMo #18
*sigh* Another entry missed. How on earth did I manage to post one on the day I didn’t get home til 4am, but managed to miss yesterday?! I really have no excuse. I was home all day yesterday, and didn’t do a damn thing but watch TV.
So… Thursday was good. Work was decent. Lots more rude people. The favorite of the day was the guy who told me to stop calling because he had filed for bankruptcy, and when I told him that all we needed was his lawyer’s name and telephone number to stop the calls to him, his response was, "Okay, well, his name is Go Fuck Yourself." I love my job *rolls eyes*
After work, I headed over to Amy’s place to quickly change clothes and head up to the theater to see New Moon. The movie didn’t start til 12:01, but we knew the line would be ridiculous and didn’t want to be way at the end. We got stuck in front of one of the most annoying girls on the planet who wouldn’t stop talking for almost 45 minutes straight, then they finally let us into the theater around 11:45. I wanted a hot dog or popcorn, but there really wasn’t time before the movie started. Amy suggested we go to Steak n Shake after the movie, and I agreed. After sitting through about 30 minutes of previews, the movie FINALLY started. And guess what? I absolutely loved every single second. I am dying to go see it again, but I won’t. I’ll have to wait until it comes out on DVD. I won’t ruin anything for anyone who might want to see it. Just trust me. It’s good.
After the movie, we were both starving, so we ventured over to Steak n Shake, where we had the fastest service EVER. I was impressed. After we stuffed ourselves, we went back to Amy’s so I could get my stuff and head home. I made it home around 4:00am, and Stan and I went to bed shortly thereafter.
Friday, like I said, was a super lazy day. I caught up on my shows, and just basically sat on my ass all day. I had a headache all day, which contributed to the laziness. Stan got home around 7:30ish, and we went to Chili’s for dinner around 9, after he’d had a nap. We did that 3 courses for 2 people for $20 thing… such an awesome deal. Then we came went to Wal-Mart, where I got a housewarming gift for Kaleigh and Josh, and Stan got some groceries. Then we came home and basically relaxed the rest of the night.
Today was a super fun day. We got up a little early and met my mom at her place, then went to the museum where she works for the annual Festival of Trees. I always love this event. It’s a tradition that we go now. They had awesome trees this year, most of which were all bought, which is good for the museum. The real amazing things this year were the gingerbread houses. One lady did "Christmas in the Shire", and it was actual Elron’s house in Rivendell (forgive me if the spelling is off), and it was incredible. I’ll have to post the pictures I took sometime soon. Maybe tomorrow, but no promises. I also bought some yummy chocolate-drizzled popcorn and some other fun things from the gift shop.
After we finished there, we went back to Mom’s and talked about our Thanksgiving plans, then said our goodbyes and headed out to Kaleigh and Josh’s housewarming party. They live the total opposite direction of us, out in the middle of almost-nowhere, kind of like us 🙂 They’re house is wonderful, and I’m so glad they got to buy a house this year too. We stayed a couple hours, then headed back home.
We took a nap, and then shared some couple time *wink* Now Stan’s putting up more lights while I contemplate what I want to eat. My tummy’s rumbling… I definitely need food.
Hope everyone’s having a fantastic weekend!
