NoJoMo #1
Though I expect to fail miserably, I am going to attempt NoJoMo this year. (Are you as tired of hearing me say I’m going to update more as I am of saying it?) Here it goes!
I can hardly believe it’s November already. I feel like I was just sitting in our old living room, unwrapping gifts and celebrating Christmas with Stan. Now it’s almost here again. God, where does the time go? Why does it seem to drag by when you’re a kid, only to have each year pass faster and faster the older you get?
Speaking of Christmas… I am stressing out big time about this year. I have a lot of gifts to buy, and almost no money to buy them with. I hate that. Stan says he doesn’t have a lot of money, either, but I’m worried he’s still going to go above and beyond what I can manage this year, and it makes me feel guilty. He spoils me so much every year, and I do what I can for him, but I don’t have as much money as he does (even less this year with taking the paycut to work at Chase, and spending all my damn money in gas and tolls) so his gifts aren’t as extravagant *sigh* I can feel myself getting upset just thinking about it, so time to move on. I’ll find a way.
I’m still with Chase, and I still hate it. I’ve been looking and looking for another job, and I haven’t found anything yet. Or rather, nothing that I’ve found has decided to call me back for an interview. Bah.
On to happier things. Yesterday was Halloween, and I had a good one. Amy came over, and she, Stan and I went to lunch at Tijuana Flats, then over to his mom’s house to get her car to bring it back here. (If I haven’t said already, his mom is now living in an assisted living facility, so we’re selling her house and her car). Stan was trying to find the title to the car so we can sell it, but he wasn’t able to. So, from there, we just went to Best Buy so Stan could get a CD, and I saw DJ Hero being played by some guy… and I want it so so bad. It looks AWESOME, and the music mixes are so cool. Hopefully after Christmas, we can get it. Anywho… then we headed to the movies to see "Paranormal Activity." Holy cow, you guys, that was an AWESOME movie. I didn’t scream (go me!), but I did get chills quite a few times. I recommend you go see it. For such a low budget, they did an amazing job. After the movie, we came home to settle in to watch the Yankees, and Amy and I went back out to Buffalo Wild Wings to get dinner. Then we came home, and watched the game and passed out candy to kids. Then I passed out after changing the clocks back at 2 (or 3) in the morning.
Today is a work day, and I don’t want to go. I’m working 3-12 (yes, midnight), and I’m already pouting. Bah.
Happy November, everyone!! I’m gonna go relax before work.
