Fourth Day – 03/28

Today we woke up around 10ish. Stan said that he wanted to find this store called Cosby’s, which has lots of jersey’s and fun sports stuff. While we were at the game last night, he looked for it, because he said they used to be located in Madison Square Garden. However, it wasn’t there, so he looked it up online and found their new address. So, we walked down that way first. On the way, we stopped at this store called Conway’s, which had lots of clothes for pretty cheap. Stan got a couple shirts, and I bought a couple shirts and some fun comfy pants that will be good to wear to the gym, as they have zippered pockets in the back. Then we made it to Cosby’s. We went in, but I don’t think it impressed Stan anymore, because we were basically in and out.

Then we walked down to Macy’s, because we wanted to get a couple things we saw there the other day. Stan ended up getting a fun coffee mug for his mom, and some fun NYC chocolates for his team at work. I bought a white hoodie with “New York” on it in black letters, a fun keychain, and a little Statue of Liberty bear. Then we headed up to the 4th floor to have lunch at Jimmy’s pizza. It was very tasty, and very crowded. Then we headed back to the hotel to drop off that stuff, then hopped on the subway to the Staten Island Ferry.
The train took us right to the entrance, and we had to wait about 25 minutes for the next ferry. We went into the little gift shop they had, where I bought a postcard for myself (to go with the other ones I have from our honeymoon), some I Heart NY socks for Amy, and an ashtray for Mom. Then we got on the ferry, and we stood at the front so we could watch everything. The ferry took us right past The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and I got some good pictures of both. Then, when we reached Staten Island, we hopped on another ferry immediately to return to the city. It was a little too cold and windy outside on the return trip, so I stayed inside mostly.
After the ferry, we took the Subway to China Town. Man, that place is crazy. The sidewalks are lined with little shops, all of which are either sells purses, jewelry, T-shirts, or Chinese-themed things. There are also people with tables selling everything you can think of, and men selling knock-off designer bags out of suitcases. We bought a black Coach for Amy, because she said she wanted one. Stan kept telling me to get one for myself, but I didn’t see any I HAD to have, and while they’re inexpensive compared to the real thing, they’re not exactly cheap. Stan ended up buying himself a T-shirt and a hoodie for his mom, and I bought a fun Coach scarf. After that, we just walked down the street a bit, then I said I wanted to go back to Central Park and see the zoo. We took the subway again, and while we found the park, we didn’t find the zoo until after it closed. We did get to see some sheep, llamas (or maybe alpacas?), and goats though. We were on 5th Avenue, so we continued to walk down past the park. We ended up finding FAO Schwartz, so we went in. The place is ridiculous, and it was super packed. They had a fun little Harry Potter shop, but everything was crazy expensive.
By this point, we both were starving, and there was a place across the street called POP Burger. I guess it’s like a fancy White Castle? You get two little burgers with cheese, but the patties are thick and filling. They were quite good.
Stan and I were both pretty tired, so we decided to come back to the hotel to rest a little. Stan watched the end of the UConn game, and then I pounced. Hello, there is NO way I was going to leave this city without getting some lovin’. And everyone knows vacation sex is awesome! And it most certainly was. I even busted out some lingerie that I brought along, and he was most appreciative 😉
Now we’re just gathering all our stuff and starting to pack. We’re both sad to be leaving tomorrow. Our flight’s around 1:00, and Stan decided we’re going to take a cab to the airport.
Even though it hasn’t been a “relaxing” vacation, I’m completely stress-free and totally at ease. All and all, this has been an AMAZING trip. I love this city, and I can’t wait to come back!! This really has been the best Christmas gift ever.

Fun shopping! Yeah I think it’s a rule that you have to buy at least 1 knock-off item while in NYC. *heehee*

Ryn: Well hello! I don’t know many out there who are fans! Well, at least I don’t know them personally lol. Thanks for stopping by! =D

Time for an update, missy!!! 😀

RYN: *smiles* Matt prefers my hair short, I tend to change my mind between long and short very quickly (and also having fast-growing hair helps too). I told him I was going to cut my hair off again after the wedding, but since this is the longest I’ve had my hair in 8 years or so, I’m enjoying it for the time being. 😉
