Cash Flow

Woot woot! Stan and I did our taxes Thursday night, and we’re getting lots of money back. Mine’s going straight into my savings account for the NYC trip, and Stan said he wants to buy the tickets to the Broadway show with his. I think we’re going to end up seeing The Lion King. YAY!

Our internet was fixed late Wednesday night, but I’ve been a little busy and haven’t had time to update much. Stan’s mom is doing well. I visited her on Friday, and she’s moving pretty well. A little shaky, and still a little unsure with the walker, but definitely better. After my brother-in-law got home, Stan and I had dinner at Texas Roadhouse again, where he had the balloon girl make me a flower 🙂 Awwww. Dinner was super yummy, and then Stan headed into work for a couple hours while I went across the street and had my eyebrows waxed. I’ve only ever done it once before, and it hurt life a mo-fo and I swore I would never do it again. However, they were getting BAD and I didn’t have the patience to sit there and pluck them into the shape I wanted, so I went with waxing. It actually didn’t hurt as bad this time, and my face didn’t swell up nearly as bad or stay swollen very long. Thank goodness. It’s amazing how such a small little step and change the whole look of your face. After that, I headed home, and texted with Sarah for a little bit. She was asking for some advice, and apparently I almost made her choke when I asked a simple question 😉 But I hope I helped. She and I have also decided to be each other’s personal libraries for awhile. We’re going to send each other books, read them, then send them back. YAY!

Saturday Stan had to work, and Amy came over and watched Bones with me while we waited for Stan. Then we all went to Hot Dog Heaven for lunch, then did a little shopping. We came home, napped, and then headed out to House of Blues for the Trust Company concert. We had a great time, and Amy got wasted haha. She ended up sleeping on our couch. It was good times though, and no one threw up to my knowledge. Always a plus haha.

Sunday Amy woke up and dragged herself out to go pick up her mom from work. Stan and I had brunch at Cracker Barrel, then went grocery shopping. We came home, enjoyed some couple time (heh), then went to the batting cages for a little bit. Then we had dinner (Firehouse meatball sub for him, Pizza Hut Cheese Lover’s pizza for me), watched some TV, and then I went to bed.

Today was a pretty good day at work, which is surprising for a Monday. The calls were minimal, and we seem to be caught up on our workload right now, so the pressure is off (for now). Thank goodness. I thought January would be the death of me 🙂

Well, I had better go do some laundry before bed. I also need to shower, and I want to do some Wii Fit tonight. My foot is almost 100% now, so while I’ll take it easy, I’ve been itching to get back into it! I can’t believe I’m this excited to work out, but hey, I’ll take it.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Re: It did! I’m excited to start reading it, but I want to finish this bird book first so I can give it back to Dad. He hasn’t read it yet, but it’s his. lol
