Script Frenzy

I bought Montage two nights ago. I had got it for Christmas but there was a problem with the CD code so I’ve been stuck using a free imitation that really does not work very well. I mean it worked well enough for me to write my 5 minute short, but this program rocks!!!

This entry is not supposed to be about Montage, but Script Frenzy itself. I’m really excited about it. We missed NaNo this past year for personal reasons, and I think all the excitement that I had for that has carried over plus some. Movies are my passion. I’m a storyteller and they are my favorite way of telling those stories. But the reason I am most excited is because of the story I am going to write.

I can’t say what it is, but I’ve been told by a few people that it is my best idea. I can’t tell you what it is because it is a retelling of a famous story and I don’t own the rights. Though I have started down the path to securing those rights. This story is the “big one”. It’s the one that has been sitting in the back of my head for years and I always imagined it capping off a movie career instead of starting it, but I want to get it out in the worst way.

I just can’t wait.

I want to cheat and start early, but I will refrain.

I think this will be easier than the novel I have been working on the past two years. I get stuck on the language when it comes to the novel. I feel like my elementary education is not equipped to take on such things. When it comes to screenplays though, it’s all about the story. I can write dialogue and plot like no ones business, it’s just the words that sometimes escape me.

So this should be fun.
