Psuedo-Date Completed!

Well, it’s over. The psudeo-date, that is.

Mike Minor picked me up 20 minutes before the movie started. I was very nervous, but I had on a simple sweater, jeans, and my hair was down- no lipstick, it would be too much. As we are walking up to the theater doors, Mike tells me he was going to ask me to change the movie choice to “The BogeyMan”. I told him next time, I would need notice, so I knew what to bring to cover my eyes- me and scary movies do not work well.

We walk up to the ticket window, and all day, Mikey told me if he paid, it was a real date. So, he asks the ticket guy for two tickets… me, being SUPER smart, asked if he wanted money. He said, “Sure.” I understand, we are both poor, being servers and all. I was just trying to be nice, I wanted it to be a date. But, eh- psuedo dates are cool too.

We go and get in line for snacks, where we made stupid conversation. Blah blah blah… get into the theater.. it’s us and two other people. He picks the second row, slightly off center. We sit down, chat a bit, movie starts… it’s dark, it’s quiet. I crossed my leg towards him, ya know, sending out the body language. (hey, it was the best I could do). We kept making comments about the movie, lil jokes, and occassionally, his elbow would touch mine. I never moved my arm. (yes, I know, could I BE more sixth grade?)

Gets to the end of the movie. It was a touching movie, (Finding Neverland), and my friend Laura said I would cry. I was good, then the last two minutes of the movie, one little tear trickled down my face. Mike looked over, made a silly comment, that had me smiling in no time.

We left the theater (after I peed… man, those large diet cokes are HUGE!) talking about the movie, got in the car, conversation never ceased. He then mentions that he used to go to the movies all the time, but has nobody to go with… so I suggested he always go with me. As he dropped me off, I couldn’t even bring myself to hug him, I just sat there, said good night, opened the door, and left… as he was saying, “Next time, BOGEYMAN!” So.. is that a second psuedo-date, or a friends thing? (A guy’s perspective would be VERY appreciative on this)

He dressed really nice… and smelled even nicer. Next time, I will hug him. There HAS to be a next time… I hate crushes, but this one is fun. Matt, the second roommate, told me to make a move. My move will be a hug, if he hugs back or whatnot, cool. If there is a THIRD movie, I’ll move in for the kill. I’m such a geek.

Alright- until next time, this silly sixth grade acting girl is going to try and play it cool. Reeeeeeeeeal cool. Eh, we’ll see. 🙂

he’s gay, shy, or not interested. take your pick because those are your three choices. it’s cute though. I’m going to say he’s shy . . . sexually that is. obviously he doesn’t have a problem talking with you. sounds like you’ve got your work cut out for you.

Well it sounds like it went well. It’s ok to take things slow, sounds like he is really shy. Hope that you can make your move soon 🙂

Hmmm…..Well considering my slow Mike saga ended rather retardedly…I have no unbiased opinion. My Mike was slow despite my ever so clever 6th grade flirting tactics. I thought he was shy but he just turned out to be an arrogant loser who was waiting for me to throw myself on him. Like I said, completely biased bitterness for the situation, so I’m no help. Good luck, whichever way it goes later

shy, but ya, sounds like a date 🙂 how do you do it … i’m SOOOOO damn frustrated I’m wanting to hump trees and people walking down the street … i’m humping the table right now! well, glad you had fun in 6th grade … 9th grade is just down the road … later sk8r!

I dunno I personally think if they pay for you it’s a date. I would never pay for a guy unless I asked him out directly. Plus, he asked for 2 tickets, that’s him offereing to pay! He’s gotta be shy too…most guys would try to hold your hand or kiss you…maybe not every guy but I dunno…Good luck on daye #2 Sarah
