Over the hump?

I made it… to day three of nicotine-less unenjoyable-ness. But… today was different. My voice is still not at all there, but, I am coughing up more shit (which, regardless of what you hear, is GOOD!) The worse though is my sense of smell…. I got into my car today, took one whiff, and made a disgusted face. It smelled of smoke- the smell I used to associate with “home”, my apartment, my roommate, my fun. And… it turned my face sour… am I actually starting to change?

I gave myself every opprotunity to smoke yesterday, and each time, I just said, “One more hour Liz, you can do it, ONE MORE HOUR.” And I did it. Now, it has been 76 hours (over three days!) and I’m doing better. I walked into my apartment, and told Roomie number two that there will be no more smoking in the living room. If the boys wanna smoke in here, they go to their rooms… end of story. I don’t want my living space smelling icky. I still have an itch to smoke, but not nearly as bad as yesterday… on the verge of tears (and actually crying some). Man… if I can break this habit, I can do anything! Wish me luck 🙂 And those of you that left notes…

Megs- QUIT WITH ME! STRUGGLE WITH ME! IT SUCKS 🙂

Spongey- Alcohol is my downfall too, I know it will be. And as for the masterbateing… I’d be doing it every hour, on the hour, if I replaced nicotine with masterbation. But, thanks for the advice. 🙂

Going on day four… we’ll see how it goes.

and by the way..good luck and good for you!!

Congrats on day three, man that’s awesome, that’s one thing that my friend said that the longer she stays away from it the more her sense of smell changes for the better. I’ve never smoked so I don’t know what you are going through, but I think it’s awesome you are doing so well!
