Washing Away With the Final Tears
Dark tears pour from dying eyes,
so tired of crying,
a head full of painful memories,
and a soul drowning in sadness,
lost in these tears,
wandering in the rain,
looking for a savior,
but only to find the world empty,
vacant and void,
there is nothing alive here,
wilted flowers and fallen leaves,
dark streets and many graves,
just one left,
one empty grave,
filling with tears,
don’t waste time,
just climb in,
sink to the bottom and drown in the tears,
there is no one left to cry now,
these are the final tears.
well you may haven’t posted anything for awhile but at least you were saving up a batch of good poems

I love how evocative this is, how, sadly, relatable. Because I cannot clear my mind of the painful memories, of the sad moments, and they certainly outweigh the happy moments. A curse that does not leave, regardless of tears shed, or substances used to blot it all out. You are a deep and skillful writer.

Thank you so much. I work hard on my craft and it is enriching, rewarding that my expressions, the inner feelings of my soul that I share, can find a home, a heart to reside in.
