Only These Words. . .

This is the poem that I wrote in Geoff’s Christmas card. . . I promised I would share it, so here it is.

 

My darling,

you have opened my heart,

shined light on my dark soul,

allowing me to follow you into the day,

protecting me. . . watching over me,

as a guardian angel should,

your heart beats rhythmically with mine,

pumping love through my veins,

allowing my deadened emotions to revive,

giving me the chance to feel,

your touch, oh that touch,

warm flesh that sends electricity down my spine,

I crave that touch,

and all the love that flows from it,

the kiss,

that kiss which makes my heart skip a beat,

your lips which gently caress mine,

ever so softly, so delicately,

with passion that I have never felt before,

all these beautiful things that are encompassed in your love,

the love which leaves me breathless,

I love you.
