Only the Unspoken

Locked away in this dreary black room,

you think my soul the dark will consume,

but I refuse to let darkness win,

the battle for survival is soon to begin.

Just because you wanted offspring and gave me life,

does not mean I will let you end it with that knife,

you try and try but to no avail,

I am strong and I will always prevail.

You think you scare me with those threats you make,

that I will crumble when you call me your mistake,

but I am the tornado and you the tower,

I will break you down with my potent power.

Don’t let my unspoken words fool you,

my life and my freedom I will continue to pursue,

this I promise from these bleeding lips,

you won’t silence me with those crushing fingertips.
