NoJoMo day 1 challenge

Challenge: Write a bio

Well, my name is Laura and I am 24 years old. I just got married a little over 4 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. I am married to a soldier in the US Army. It isn’t the easiest thing in the world, but I love my husband and wouldn’t trade him for anything. We live just outside of Ft. Bragg and are TTC. Right now we have 2 cats, Riku, a boy and Aurora, a girl. They are totally spoiled rotten.

We have 2 cars. I have a Pontiac Grand Prix and she is my other baby. I can finally drive her again now that she is registered and I am really happy about that. Hubby has a Saturn Ion, he is all about the gas mileage, but I guess one of us has to have some economic sense lol.

We live in an apartment. Its not the first time that either of us have lived with other people on our own, but it is the first time that we have been happy doing so.

I am so many things. I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a babysitter. I love children and hope to be a kindergarten teacher if I ever finish school. I am also an artist. I draw, paint, sculpt, craft, scrapbook, write poetry, play the flute and so many other artistic things.

I am an avid reader.

I am a proud Wiccan. I love nature. I have much respect for the plant that we live on. I recycle and try to take care of the environment as much as I can. Wicca plays a huge part in that. It is a nature based religion and it involves showing deep respect for the Earth and for Goddess who is the mother to us all. I do sometimes get people who look down on me as Wicca is not a "normal" religion. I do not believe in Jesus. I do believe in God. I do not believe in heaven or hell. I believe in Karma. Everything you do comes back to you three fold.

I have been through a lot. Who hasn’t. I have lost people that I loved, I almost lost myself, I have hurt myself, I have hurt others. I have been through things that no other woman should have to go through. I have learned a lot and still have a lot more to learn. I try not to hold on to the negative things. I try to embrace the positve, but I am still struggling with that and the Army is part of the reason why I do.

I have lived a lot of life and have so much more life left to live. I have a pretty good family, I have an amazing husband, I have great friends.

I have a great life.
