Never Forget
I can’t believe that it has been 9 years since the tragedy of September 11, 2001. I remeber exactly where I was… sitting in Bio AP my senior year and someone burst into the room and said "Turn on the tv!!" And Ms. Hunt turned on the tv and we all sat there in silence, in shock… staring at the horror going on. I couldn’t believe it. I was in school when Columbine happened too and I thought that would be the worst thing that I ever saw, until the moment my eyes caught this
We didn’t see the first tower fall, it had already happened by the time we started watching but they played it back over and over… the people jumping from the windows, the madness that was happening down below on the ground, then the horrible news about the Pentagon and then we watched it, LIVE on tv… the 2nd tower collapse. And no one could believe it, all those people, all those lives… gone, lost, over just like that.
It brings tears to my eyes now just to think about it. To think that it happened.
But the response from American’s after. It was so beautiful to see how American’s banded together to help each other through this tragedy. The flags flown proudly from everywhere, cars, houses, businesses. The pride and respect that American’s showed to the military. And now, 9 years later, we are still fighting this war. My husband is deployed in Iraq right now, the fight still going on. The lives of American’s forever changed on this day. And we will never forget. We will never forget all those who lost their lives that day. We will never forget the sacrifice of the brave men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect this country and all the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice during this fight.
I am so proud of my husband, for serving his country, for fighting to protect our freedom.
"Let freedom forever fly, let it ring. Salute the ones who died, the ones who gave their lives so we don’t have to sacrifice all the things we love"

definetly give your hubby extra love from all of us, myself included of course. thank him, and dont forget to take some of that love for yourself, from the way i see it…. most of what makes him strong, is you. not only should we vow to never forget 9/11, but also all those that pledged their lives to make sure it never happened again, and all those that we can only thank in prayers. all my love
